It's expensive because of the concentration of solids, carriers used, evaporation rate of said carriers, and the cost of chemicals that are used to make it the one of a kind product it is. I can get you some if you like.

Apart from not being applied as per manufacturers specs, these sealers all use different carriers to deliver the solids. Meaning they all evaporate/penetrate at different rates.
