In the next to the last picture, Domenico has just broken the news to Guy and
Linus about the scrotal lice infestation on the bus.
Vernor, the most likely cause, continues to act surprised.

Re: Intermac - Italy Trip 2012
Chris,
I'm getting concerned about the 'sensor' visit.
Last time that happened, I woke up the next morning clutching a sales order for a
$48,000 container of ubatuba and had glitter in my underwear.
Both were sticky.

Nah, these Italian companies spend a lot of time and money on these trips. I don't want to risk insulting what they do because of google translator :o . As an example, one of the Brazilian sites we're getting ready to visit has an English translation of 'Stimulating your sensor'. I've asked f...

Since Eric and I are traveling companions and friends, I can probably reveal this. He calls [excitedly] and proclaims he has sold the saw to a Nigerian prince for 475,000 Norwegian Drackmas. :? Oy. All dinners in Brazil are on Eric. Apparently, he's REECH. More likely 'reach', but as usual, t...

Re: leather finish
Most factories finish their 'leathers' at 120. Your progression should be 36,46,60 or 80, then 120. Your fingers should tell you when you have established enough texture on the edges with the 36. From there, the others don't take much time. As has been stated, let the brushes do the work. Your part ...

Top, Dan may be correct. It may also be flamed, then brushed. Or water jetted [from way above a normal position, and without garnet], then brushed. If any of these is the case, Dan's chisel then brush might be your best option. If there is any way to post a picture, I'm sure we can collectively solv...

Re: Riverwashed Finish
'Riverwashed' usually means 'brushed' or 'leathered'. Texture with a 'flat' type look re polish. There are additional steps that will pretty much give it a sheen. That is a 'caress' finish. ABS does not have many soft components so leathering it gives it a 'grainy' look. Highs and lows, but in a fai...

In speaking with James from Tenax this afternoon, he mentioned that the mixing ratio on this product has a plus or minus of 1% . When Filippo suggests using the pre-measured dispensers, it is most likely for that very reason. For you lamination kings and queens, they've got a new epoxy in a ...

Nick,
We order resin in large quantities. It only takes a certain number of ounces to re-resin a slab. So, we measure via a meter every single time. This is not rocket science. Plus, there is a slight margin for error. Not much, but a little.

Re: Best adhesive for marble
Filippo is right about the metering [measuring]. We use a postal meter for measuring ratios on different Tenax glues.
They work fine.
You must remember Filippo divides in Italian, but multiplies in American.
