Re: Please help! Seam placed down center of peninsula AND center of sink!
Clearly it was a material issue and they did not have two slabs. We do our best to avoid seams on peninsulas and this could have easily been accomplished with two slabs (but not one). Without anything in writing you don't have much choice. If the seam is done well it should not be that noticeable. F...

I've used small claims court before with success. It is easier than most think.
I would be surprised if they don't settle before court. The time and effort to appear in court will not be worth it to them. They will just require you to to keep quite about it.

Re: ActionFlow Software
We have been using Actionflow for almost 2 years now... I think. I'm using it for eveything... estimates, scheduling, purchase orders and inventory. I also have it integrated with Quickbooks (no more dual entries). System works great! Reese did not ask me to post this. I just saw this post and thoug...

Again, my experience with Blue Bahia is that it will etch like marble will. It is not granite.

We could easily make that virtually disappear. It is not a big deal. You just need a competent fabricator or installer.

Blue Bahia is not granite. Granite will not etch under normal circumstances.

2007 Marmo LCV 711M for Sale - SOLD
Vertical edge machine is in operation until early August when new machine arrives. In good condition. Feed rollers and drums recently replaced. Final position is not getting water but we still get a perfect polish so we have not bothered to fix. The backside beveler is not working and I don't recall...

Looks very much like a quartzite. Just make sure you seal it well and all will be fine. You will love it.

Re: Must I really have a seam
Even if you take the door off the medicine cabinet, the countertop will likely hit the 1/2" protrusion. Without all the information, I'm more likely to side with the fabricator. Most fabricators do not want to put seams in countertops as it just adds time and labor to the job. You can only get so ma...

Re: Taj Mahal Fissure
We supplied the material and we did send a slab layout but you can't really tell by the slab layout where the fissures are as the fissures look similar to all the other stuff.

Taj Mahal Fissure
As you all know... Taj Mahal has fissures. What is your opinion of this fissure on a countertop we just removed from a customer's home? I'm showing other pics of the same countertop to give you more perspective of the material. We have installed lots of Taj Mahal with lots of fissures without issues...

Re: Speed Draw Ctops
Just had a demo yesterday. It will save sometime cleaning up files, labeling parts and printing tickets, etc. You have to have the right set up for the gcode function to work... You need a sawjet and a Park CNC. If you have a Northwood milling machine it will not work. If you are using a cnc saw you...

Looks ridiculous. It may be that way because that is all they had to work with but I still would not cut it without the customers approval.

Re: Heat from sun opening bench top joins
Without a shadow of a doubt, heat can cause a great deal of expansion and contraction in quartz. I know first hand as we applied heat to the quartz to speed up the process to remove a bow. When it cooled there was a 1/16" gap at the center of the seam. The ends will cool faster than the center. Hope...

Yup, it is a pretty crappy install. The marble is easy to work with so there are no excuses.
Did you research this company prior to hiring? Why did you choose this company over the others?
I can't imagine he charges much for his services.

Re: Asking for feedback from professionals
I don't think that is true. Angies List has been mostly funded by the reviewers membership dues. I can't see them even entertaining such an idea. Anyone can say anything online so I would be skeptical of such a statement. If they did and word got out it would be the end of Angies List. Makes no sens...

Re: Asking for feedback from professionals
I'm on Angie's list and from my experience only legitimate customers can post reviews. I have a lot of them and all are legit. So I don't think the company has anything to do with it. I can't see them ever removing a bad review. The one thing that it sounds like you did not do is to visit their plac...

You also have the option of small claims court. The maximum is $10k. It is an easy process.
Sorry you are going thru this. You should post some reviews so that others do not go thru the same.
