Re: Price of Gas Today
Hi everyone, Since I've been working in the Bakken oilfields since last july, I've learned an incredible amount of new information. Firstly, employees of oil and drilling companies, especially canadian ones, make the large so don't be afraid to charge what you are worth if you are selling to one! (I...

Re: obamination
One of the things that allowed people to overlook the debt increase under Bush was the debt to GDP comparisons. I think that was akin to looking at cash flow compared to debt service costs. The economy was humming, so no one was worried. Big mistake. As my since departed uncle used to say (he, a ukr...

This will kick up a sh*t storm, but what the heck. Are any of you aware that as governor, Sarah Palin took Alaska from a AA rating to a AAA rating? She also cut spending while the state was running budget surpluses and added about $7 billion to the Permanent fund in 18 months. Someone out there know...

Re: Canon Users
I have the Canon Rebel T2i. I have the Canon 18-55mm & 75-300mm that came with the package. I've purchased the Tokina 11-16 wide lense and have got some neat shots. I also have the Canon Speedlite 430EXII flash but have not really figured it out. Every time I shoot a kitchen with the flash, the sho...

Jean, I just bought a used Tamron 18-270 VC lens (model B003). I was having trouble with it communicating with the camera. Was getting frustrated until I read that a little denatured alcohol on a microfiber cloth easily cleans the debris off the contacts on the lens and the camera. Voila! seems to w...

The G D tree huggin', bunny lovin', pot smokin', sandle wearin' (no offense nick), tofu eatin', runnin' naked in the forest hippies who are in control right now need to be beaten back once and for all. I generally stay off the political threads but, trust me, not too many of the folks in Washington...

I agree with you Burkie, but this egghead we have now has never even run a lemonade stand and just wants to spend, spend, spend. Look at the #s you presented. Bush doubled in 8 years (remember dems took over congress in 2006) and Obama added nearly $4Trillion in less than half that time! Yeah, and the...

Jeff, My thoughts and prayers for you and your family. This is why politics matter and each of us should do what we can to secure our republic and help elect people who will work to that end. They don't just want a "better life", they take our jobs by under cutting our bids while avoiding the overhe...

Check out the motor mount bracket. During WWII, we made alot of Liberty ships out of concrete and there are guys who still build sailboats that way. It's all about displacement. Pretty cool in my book.
