I just use whatever the customer has in the house. . . we get them at sams club or walmart if we got a pallet of them guys wod be napping on them

If you can do a decent miter with stone you can do quartz using the same tools and methods. glue color is critical other then taht it is easier then stone and you can do it with a rail saw. We did it all the time before we got our cnc saw and a few times since.

We use the alpha as well we keep two one has a contour blade and one a straight blade.we just replace them when the bearings go bad and the newer one gets the contour blade the older is used with the straight to rough out larger radius cuts and for straight cuts on some sinks

I guess it depends on how many square feet you are trying to cool and what you want to pay. our fab area is around 3000 SF and it is air condtioned. we keep it around 75 in the summer and 65 in the winter Not the cheapest way but it keeps people happy and productive

If its done right you cant really feel the difference but you can see a diff.in the gloss. Its not the only way but its quick and usally you can get away with it.

we used knife grade and had the same problem we now use integra and can pull the seams much tighter

If its commercial you need a CDL and they dont care how much it weighs (as long as its not over) they care about what it may weigh when fully loaded. and its nationwide.
