suction cups for the Park Titan
Hi folks! Just wondering what everyone is using on their cnc specifically the Titan? I'm extremely happy with both the Titan and the Blick cups, just wondering if any one has tried anything different, and what your feed back would be. Also, has any one used "the better vacuum cups"? They are plastic...

sink fasteners in tight spaces
Lately we've been doing more and more rectangular vanity sinks for our clients. They are gaining more and more popularity and my installers are complaining about not having enough room in the cabinets to secure the sinks. In a normal oval vanity, we use either the T slot, or the sink it. clip method...

Re: Looking for opinions on quartzite seamwork [pics]
Absolute black granite can etch, I've tested Fantasy Brown and Super white. They also etch. The one thing we tell our clients is that the appearance of the etch marks are less visible if these stones are brushed or honed. Every time we receive a quartzite, we do an acid test here at the shop.

Re: Looking for opinions on quartzite seamwork [pics]
We always try to put seams on cabinet dividers. Not seeing the whole picture and how it played out on the rest of the slab or remnant, I really can't say where I'd put the seam. I do agree if they polished the bottom of that piece, the motion would flow nicer. This looks like polished fantasy brown ...

I got a client that has requested something he saw in a magazine. We have a Park Titan, has anyone ever tried doing something like this on a Titan or any other cnc machine? If so, What tooling would you recommend?

As of right now, I'd agree on the only way to mimic that on an edge would be miters

New finish on the slab face
We've all worked with honed, polished, antiqued, and or brushed finishes. Have any of you worked with "linear" or "square" finish on the slab face? We've got a sample of this on Zimbabwe black and it looks pretty cool, but I wanted to know if anyone has worked with it before? How do you mimic the fac...

Re: absolute black issues
Thank you for all your responses. This is a very high end outside project. We were informed by the stone supplier that these "absolute black premium" were not dyed before the project. Will these remedies stay on the stone when it's out to the elements for decades to come?

absolute black issues
We have recently completed a project using Absolute Black and noticed the edge coloring was lighter than the surface coloring. Before cutting the slab there was no hint of the slab being dyed..is this normal for a dyed slab? Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas how to get a consistent color f...

Re: ATTN: GUYS RUNNING T-31 ANCHOR BITS ON YOUR CNC
I was just doing some research on this subject. We've always used a pneumatic anchor machine, my question is do you guys plunge in with the cnc? Do you drill a blind hole and then run the bit? Or do you run it like a drain grooving tool? I read that one of you uses the blade to remove some stock, wh...

white adhesive for granite or engineered stone
I would love to know what other fabricators are using as an adhesive for whiter granites and engineered stones. We have been using a knife grade poly for a long time with some success. The issue is that every now and then we get a seem that yellows and doesn't quite match well. I'm looking for the b...

shop work benches
Hello fellow granite workers, I'm sort of taking a survey to find out what people are using for work benches. we've typically made our own for the last twenty somewhat years. Would love to know what you guys thought of the diarex, groves, wood, or any other suggestions. Thank you

We have been using Sams club for years, but i was wondering if any one ordered any on line. Instead of sending someone out for an hour or so. Gas also is not very cheap.

PAPER TOWELS
Anyone in our stone world have a good source for buying paper towels by the pallet load? Its very inconvenient to keep going back to the store every two weeks or so. These would be the paper towels used in the shop and for the road crews. Any help would be nice.

for the past twenty five years or so we have been doing an "eased" edge on the top rim of our under mount sinks.(1/8 th round). in the last few years we have gotten more and more repairs for chips on the edges mostly from pots and pans hitting the rim. my question is, what are most fabricators out t...
