just to be clear I'm not a park "groupie" but 4 hrs to program a slab is way out touch.scott m wrote:That park machine looks great.......Just keep in mind fabcentering is more about software then hardware. You can make any cnc with a saw into a fabcenter, if you want to spend 4 hours programming a slab.

We purchased a park fabcenter about 2.5yrs ago, not many issues except laser which park has been good about taking care of (even after warranty expired), state side service and previous buying experience's is why we continue doing business with them.

The gs350 from terminator cuts through tropic brown like butter on our sierra a truly night and day difference from their other blades it is one of their cheaper blades too go figure. never tried it on quartzites though.

Thanks everybody for the reply's i think the new bit is better but I am pretty gunshy on drilling faster as this problem has cost me a thousand or two already i think i will go with the sacrificial pod idea and drill all the way thru, damn this beast is hard to tame...

sorry, it was 2" @ 2000 rpm staying an 1/8th from surface and knocking them out on site, should it be faster than 2" a min? i used to core holes manually alot faster but didn't think that was relevant.

We are encountering a few blowouts on our titan fabcenter the bit we are using seems to glaze almost right away after dressing this has only happened on harder stones and india granites we are using an orange bit from granquartz that came with the machine, and have now switched to a terminator blue ...

Use like ice cream bucket plastic and just heat up with a heat gun and bend it up alittle bit not fully covering the vent let me know and i can get pics if you need.

Andy, we are using the skil from bb also and were burning through them until i put some plastic under the vent right by the brushes and cupped it up to keep water out held on with electric tape also pop the caps off the brushes every once in awhile and wd40 them the one im running like i described h...
