After concrete was all set up, we pulled the pvc out and had a smooth and curved concrete trench. Very easy to clean out, we pressure wash our floors ...

I suggested to my guys to finish up with our old rail saw.... like a bull looking at a new gate... didn't go over well at all! lolash20ash wrote:And starting with a rail saw leaves you with a "back up" saw for when your bridge saw acts up. Box Truck, Enclosed or flat trailer
I am still fairly new into the granite industry. I opened my granite business just under three years ago, and have always transported on a 5x14 tandem axle with drop ramp pulled with a cargo van holding tools. Our town is not a city so parking trailers is not an issue. What does most people prefer t...

Re: Carbon Fiber Rodding
I have had several cases where other shops cracked sink holes transporting them (even with sink savers "but probably mis-used") and install the pieces and try to "mask" the crack. I have had to redo them. End of the day... rodding makes me sleep better... that all that counts right? lol

Re: Question about rods used in rodding.
I use sink savers, however I like the extra security of my sinks being rodded after installation as well, especially if the cabinet installer didn't do a great job, and you never know when your customer might want to go "coyote ugly" on their countertops.

Re: Carbon Fiber Rodding
Okay I use flat steel rods, and I buy them in 48" section from a "magazine store (BB)". Where can I get this stuff cheaper at? I have thought about going to fiberglass, does it hold up (especially around 60/40 sink holes) as well as flat rodding?
