Tepox V vs Tepox Q
What is the difference between V and Q and has anyone tried Tepox Q? I need to dye the edge of a dyed stone and have always used Tepox V but is there a better or different product?

super white quartzite
I have a customer that keeps getting water rings/etched rings on their super white quartzite island top. The first time it happened, I polished then out and sealed the top with DuPont Bulletproof. A month later, more rings that I need to polish out. Is there a better sealer out there for super white...

Anchoring into a travertine tile floor
I have a customer that is trying to anchor a hand railing into a travertine tile floor that I believe is installed on a concrete floor. Is there an anchor that work better than others? The customer said he would like to use 1/4"-5/16" bolts but I said that was to small for a hand rail. Do I use a bl...

I have a customer that wants a chiseled edge but would like it smoothed out so it is not sharp. What would be the best way to do this? I was thinking of using antiquing brushes.

AutoCAD Sofware 2016 vs LT 2016
I need to purchase new AutoCAD software. I have been using AutoCAD 2006 but need to update because of a new computer. I'm looking at AutoCAD 2016 vs AutoCAD LT 2016. I don't do anything in 3D and the price might be the factor between the two. What do others use?

I want to make a Silestone farm sink
I want to try to make a Silestone farm sink. What would be the best way to construct it, rabbit joint or miter joint? What CNC tooling would you use? Does anyone have any DXF files showing how you built it.
Any ideas would be great.

Re: Ice in vacuum lines
After going thru all the vacuum lines, I found that one of the main vacuum line was slightly buckled in the end going into the fitting. Small enough that I didn't notice it the first time I looked at it.

Ice in vacuum lines
I have a Park Titan that we purchased within the last year. The problem I'm having is with the vacuum pods on the right bank and only the lines that suck the stone down. One day the vacuum quit on the upper right bank of the pods but the vacuum gauge didn't drop, it got better. So I thought there wa...

Re: Feedback Needed…Again! – Improved Terminator 3-Step Wet
Again thanks for the feedback. I have seen a couple of post where some guys were having problems with the aggressiveness of the #1 pad. I can assure you that we made this pad to be more aggressive than the previous generation, also what I have found in my experience is that in order for the #1 pad ...

Re: Feedback Needed…Again! – Improved Terminator 3-Step Wet
These 3 step pads are great but you have to follow the instructions in the first post to make them work. Speed is the most important thing to get the best shine. My polishers love them and can't wait for me to order more!

Re: Feedback Needed…Again! – Improved Terminator 3-Step Wet
They are a lot better than the first one that I tried. T profiles and backsplash they work great but on A and V profiles they are a little choppy. I'll be buying more of them.

Re: Tool holder-spindle question
I have a new clamping set. I don't know why I do but I do. Why do the tool holders go bad or what goes bad on them? Can I referb them because that is going to be a lot of money. I'll switch out the clamping set and see what happens.

Tool holder-spindle question
Do tool holders ever go bad? I have a Komo CNC with a Omlat spindle and recently I have been getting empty spindle errors when there is a tool still in the spindle. I can’t figure out why it is doing this. I have thought that it might be the clamping set that grabs the top of the tool holder. It has...

For those that can't make it and are interested in the topics, I think that it would be cool to have some kind of video of the workshop. It would be like I was there but not being there. I would pay to watch it or have a web conference type of thing.

Re: 3 Step Polishing System-Feedback Needed
We tried the 3 step and we found that it was great on a flat edge but when we tried a corner or bullnose, we got a lot of heat and it wanted to burn the stone. Has anyone had to change the way the polish ,like positioning the polisher, to get these to work or is it just me?

Re: lines in polishing wheels
The profile is a T30. The last metal is smooth but once the first polisher goes by, you can start feeling lines in the stone.
