Re: White Carrara kitchen, a different perspective
We often do secondary kitchens known as "Wok Kitchens" or "Spice Kitchens"
These are typically smaller kitchens, separate from the "Main" kitchen, with large industrial hood vents to keep the smells and smokes of cooking from permeating the rest of the household.

Re: Pro Liner vs LT-2d3d Laser Templator
I have found the LT less accurate. The proliner is worth the extra $$$. Our overhangs are always within a 1/16", our scribes are close and the sinks are centred. We still take dims on site to compare with but for the most part we have excellent results.

Re: 2cm laminate chissell edge??
I am having problems with Integra sticking to cambrian black granite. I am currently about to start a huge project. I want to make sure I have my ducks in a row, so I am currently working on some testers. The edges are 1.5" chiseled, 2.5" chiseled and 4" mitered. Do I need to need to move to a diffe...

Re: To Torch Dry or Not to Torch Dry
Thank you all for the wisdom and advice. On the topic of polishing, we only do about 1-2 granite jobs per month. All our ES is CNC polished. We only hand polish to roll radiuses and touch up areas the machine can't get. We don't have a line polisher either. Can anyone recommend an old post that goes...

Re: Soft Quartz/ Rubber Scratching
one shop was telling me on the phone that they bring ES slabs in and clean and inspect before running , then apply plastic film to the entire slab and process the snag is you got to clean tops after removing plastic film again because of residue I like this idea. The only thing I would worry about ...

To Torch Dry or Not to Torch Dry
I have tried many different searches and have not found any information on this. Is anyone using a Blow Torch to dry up slabs between polishing stages? I currently use compressed air for this but it takes ages and burns my compressor. We fabricate mostly quartz. My biggest worry with using the blow ...

The Material is "Quartzforms". Has anyone else had problems with this material or did I get a bad batch?Antonio Almonte wrote:We used to use carpet and changed it every so often.
Is the quartz material "quartzforms" by any chance?
I have similar problems with Caesarstone "Pure White" and LG "Ultra White"

Soft Quartz/ Rubber Scratching
I am currently working on 2 projects using a name brand quartz from Germany. I am finding these 2 different colours with similar, tiny, particulates very soft. The stock rubber protection on my polishing carts is even marking them permanently. I have torn out a whole job as I have been unsatisfied w...

CNC Router Chatter
Part #1 I recently did a job in a black granite called Oskuromis and found CNC chatter along the edges through out most of the job. Would this be because my machine operator is not putting his pods close enough to the front edge/ close enough together? Am I having a spindle/bearing issue? Is it tis ...
