Re: Soapstone Sink Finder???
Have one that's 18 X 18. Made an extra sink when I made the last one. Barroca quarry. Tounge and grove construction, bottom drains, etc. . . . http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/creativesoapstone/IMAG0258.jpg http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/creativesoapstone/IMAG0255.jpg http://i203.pho...

Re: how to install back splash for rough or non flat stone?

The waxes to stay away from is those with Carnauba oils as these build up on the stone (this is my opinion). The previous w...

Hyster XL2 Forklift 12,000 lbs
I am kicking around the idea of selling my forklift. It's a 12,000 lb Hyster. I forget what year it is. Around a 2000. Runs perfect and in my shop it's used a couple times a week and every time I pull a container in. I started my business 4 years ago and bought it so I could unload containers quickl...

Re: Soapstone sinks
I've seen green mountain carry a couple different varieties. Each variety is quite different so make sure whoever is making these sinks gets a pic of the variety. I'd be happy to give you a quote if your interested, just don't know if I have the stone your looking for.

It's hard to find plain soapstone period. M. Teixeira is the best place to check in for slabs like this around the country. They have more in stock than most . . . if not anyone in the country. Small blanks or rips of plain soapstone can be found easier than large slabs. If I had some of this materi...

Re: Soap Stone Question
I know I'm always the one saying there is alot of soapstone that is not really soapstone on the market, but I would be carefull in this application. There is also alot of stone that I wouldn't trust in that application. Even in my own shop I am super careful about 3cm soapstone in a firebox. If you ...

Re: tape residue on soapstone
All depends on what type of soapstone you have. . . Traditional soapstone I'd be suprised that denatured won't take it off. . . Tape usually just takes the oil off the surface and leaves a tape mark, but it's just taking the oil off. Try washing it with soap and water and a scrubby pad you would use...

Re: Chiselled Soaptone
I just did my first 6 cm chiseled edge and had alot of fun doing it. It was just a small sill for a friend but you'll get the idea. I did it by hand and found when I chiseled it from the top it did not go all the way through. I flipped it and did it from the bottom and turned out sweet. I took some ...
