Touchstone Glacier

Re: LOW V.O.C.
VOC and odor are two separate things. You can have a product that's technically zero-voc, but smells bad. (Don't ask me to explain, it has to do with with government definitions. Sorta like "depends on what your definition of "is", is...") But, regardless.... our Touchstone epoxies are very low odor...

Re: Bonstone listens to SFA members in Collinsville
Thanks for all the great responses! I would like to send everyone a series of pictures/brochures/etc that describe the product--but I'm not smart enough to figure out how to post all that here at one time, without posting multiple times. So, if you could please PM me with your e-mail address I'll se...

Re: Green Bloom Pics
I've been told that the accelerator used with CA glue reacts with something in the stone. You are correct, Sir! The accelerators contain an ingredient called dimethyl-para-toluidine ("DMPT")--this chemical is the same chemical that makes polyesters cure so quickly. Obviously, it does the same thing...

Re: Bonstone Last Patch question
Cameron, 1. Our tints (polyester-based) can be used for all of our products: our Epoxies, our Polyesters, and our Last Patch products. I'm not sure about the compatibility of other's "polyester" tints--not sure what exactly is in them, so we can't be sure they'll work. Your best bet is to use our ti...

Re: quick fix for glue absorbing into Carrara
Bonstone here.... I'm not familiar with these products, so I have to plead a little ignorance here.... But, something north of 90% of glue failures are due to substrate issues (improper surface prep, contamination, etc.). So it IS possible (depending on the chemical nature of the products) for them ...
