Re: Quartzite bridge saw blade
We just purchased the blade, core bit, and finger bit for Dekton. Haven't put them through stone yet, but I talked with ADI and Tyrolit and was told this is what is working. Will let you know when I do. I can take a brand new drill bit and hand drill 12 holes and its teeth are completely gone with ...

Anyone fabricating these materials? We have done a few jobs already but any piece that we put near a cnc router breaks. Wondering if anyone had some tricks for sink cut outs on this stuff. Stupid expensive.

We reproduced the problem here and it looks like the guys put tiger ager on the stone and didn't buff it off well enough.
I am going to try ager remover from tenax. We will see...

Brown Cohiba
Anyone ever had an issue with Brown Cohiba bleeding a greasy substance after install? We have tried acetone to get it off. Going to bring a piece back here and see what the heck it is, but it seems to just smear around. We sealed this stone with dry treat so whatever it is must be deep. ???

Re: waterjet comparison
We have a FLO and KMT water jet here. The KMT pumps are much easier to work on which you will be doing if you buy a waterjet. Also they are now owned by the same umbrella corp.

SINKITS
We recently transitioned to the sinkit sink clip system. I am getting a huge backlash from installers saying they just dont work. We still offer 2cm granite vanities to some builders and will always have 2cm quartz. Anyone else having issues with this system?

Re: Scorpion question...
Pretty sure machine needs to be on same plane as arm. Meaning take a dial indicator and a nice true and flat piece. Then find a spot to dial indicate all around the piece to get closer to the tolerance your looking for. Adjust the table while you do this to get it parallel to the cutting head. I did...

Re: Denver Skema problem
I forget what its called but there is a timer that switches it from L1 and L3. To L2 and L3. This gives you higher amperage at startup and then evens out after initial load. Had similar problem with intensifier motors before. Could be something different all together though. Good luck.

Re: Table Layout
Yeah like i said I have ran CMS machines for years. I dont want to be locked into edges of table since we are always loading the whole table all the time. I will always need a piece in the center.

Table Layout
Hello We are about to cut holes in our North Wood cnc tables to start running hard stops. I have ordered the reference stops from blick with a 12mm pin . Anybody have a table layout I could steal? I used to run CMS Brembana Max and want to lay out something similar to that. If we do it right I can s...

Re: Miter Clamps
We use pvc sheeting that we cut into L shapes. Cut a foot also. Imagine your framing square with a foot on the bottom and one inch thick. Put the top on upside down, align it to the square, and slide the mitered piece down in. You can still see the edge and also use the vertical portion to clamp lar...

Re: Open Geometries in cad
Thanks Mark. This is exactly what I mean by laser guys. It usually happens on wall scribes and there are always a lot of them. We process around 70 slabs a day which means open geometries are bogging us down big time in our photo department. I will give this a try. I was really hoping for a lisp in ...

Open Geometries in cad
Does anyone know of a command in cad to show open geometries? We have Slab Smith and are trying to find an easy way to see them without having to import into a cam software. Any help would be appreciated. P.S. Ctrl A is not accurate enough. Sometimes the Laser guys have open geometries within a thou...
