Re: Poseidon Machinery
Jim, We invoiced the machine to your company. That is true. We did not speak to anyone from your company until after the sale was finalized as it was handled by a broker, whom you know very well who it is. A 3rd party had arranged the sale and your leasing company contacted us. We spoke to you for t...

If you wish to save travel expenses for our technician and have an outside independent local technician perf...

Re: Rigging and transporting a Breton NC 160
Hey There, That may be a bit more complex as I believe there are some rails that are bolted into a foundation the customer made of cement so that the tables could roll in and out. If you shoot me some pictures, I can speak with some techs who removed that exact unit prior and get you a game plan goi...

Re: CNC Saw vs Sawjet
I have to say that I agree with Mr. Bergman and Mr. Dunholter. Poseidon also has evaluated making a sawjet type model. We have the designs and it is totally doable, but from a practical standpoint, a CNC saw on average is about half the price and it does virtually most of what you will need if you a...

Re: intermac movement of machine not allowed
It sounds like the controller of the CNC may have had some of its parameters erased. The PLC(which manages the Manual movement) may be okay hence that's why you can move it in Manual. Check the main intermac files. I think Intermac may be able to go into your machine to restore them.

Re: Rigging and transporting a Breton NC 160
Hi Michael,
You will need machine skates, a heavy duty forklift(10,000 lbs capacity), and a crane to lift it onto a truck. Here is a video of an NC250 being rigged:

Is the NC160 a dual or single table model?

Re: How do I get UL approval for Bridge Saw?
Sorry to hear about that Ted. We have had 2 customers have that issue and both were in Fl. I believe, one in the West Palm area and the other near Orlando. If I'm not mistaken, the NEC(National Electrical Code) does not necessarily say that UL is the main standard by law for which your panel needs t...

Absolutely Dan! A fabcenter would be good for space constraints of course and if 1 operator wishes to do a lot on one machine.

Re: what is a good fabcenter to buy
I must say that I agree with Scott. A fabcenter type machine is not the best for high production. There are many other machines in the same price range that can produce more or combinations of equipment in the same price range that will definitely produce more.

Re: BUYING A NEW BRIDGE SAW (ANY SUGGESTIONS)
Poseidon has a PT series that are made of cast-iron, however, the bridges are imported from outside of the USA. GMM makes a great saw. Cast-iron helps to eliminate vibration as it is a solid mold, not hollow steel tubes which have more resonance while cutting/machining. In the end, all machines may ...

Re: BUYING A NEW BRIDGE SAW (ANY SUGGESTIONS)
Hi Juan, There is a big jump in the quality of construction, options, and service that you will receive if you can purchase a bridge saw that is higher than the price range you specified. When you are at the $50k-$60k range, you can get something Italian or purchase something from a USA company like...

Re: what is a good fabcenter to buy
A fabcenter type machine will give you cutting and profiling, however, a saw and a CNC will give you more production power as Dan R said. Also, something to take into consideration as others have mentioned, when the machine is cutting, it's a saw. When it's profiling, it's a CNC. In between, there i...

Re: start up questions
Hi there, If I may contribute, track/rails saws are great for small jobs like cutting steps, vanities, or steps , etc. they are very cumbersome for handling large slabs if you plan on doing countertops for kitchens. Although, eventually you want to have machinery doing 90% of all your processes. I t...

Re: Help With my Marmo HTO saw
Hi Bernard, Do you mean the front or back limit sensor that stops the bridge? I am guessing, since you mentioned the readout, that you are referring to what we call the "encoder". This counts distance and shows it on readout when you move bridge and is necessary for auto cuts programs. If you try to...

Re: Poseidon Machinery
Mike, A pendant remote control with a cord is going to have issues depending on the use it gets also. Many times pendant controls are left on the work table, hanging from the side rail, or fall on the floor. I'm sure a lot of people can attest to that. I am not sure how you can say our service is no...

Re: Poseidon Machinery
Hi Nick, Poseidon does not import or have any association with Shengda machinery in China. That would be a gentleman named Pini from California who does a great job distributing them in the USA. Poseidon machinery imports components and machine parts from all over the world, namely Asia and Europe. ...
