Never tried the greens as our Blicks are still going strong after 6+ years with no issues.
Mixing cups? I've been doing it for 11-12 years now with no issues either.

Re: easystone greek fonts
As long as you have TrueType format font and it is in the correct folder in windows it should work.

Re: International membership fee
I started this thread based on the fact that in my part of the world US$250 is just under $400 local and wondered why as an 'international" member I would be missing out on workshops etc. so not getting full value. I'm not disputing the knowledge in the members area and am positive I would learn som...

Re: International membership fee
The quickest way to get to the point where $250 doesn't hurt is to join. I know your dilemma as we to are "international" and small and the first $250 hurt quite a bit but man did it ever make a difference. You'll save/earn that every couple of weeks with the wealth of knowledge you'll take in. It'...

Re: International membership fee
Hypothetically if such a system was active would you consider it fair if you personally posted 50 pieces of advice and help and had free membership and John Doe posted 50 "x2" and had the same benefit?

Re: International membership fee
I guess my point boils down to the fact there are benefits I won't have access to and while I don't expect a free lunch I also don't see why I should pay for someone else's. I'm not a company owner, just a guy on the floor with 10 years experience but by the time you factor in exchange rates members...

Re: International membership fee
I think membership should be free if you make a certain amount of posts. Any content is better than none. I suspect you would then get people spamming posts just to take advantage of it. Maybe if it was based on a 'Thanked' basis it could work but it would be an added task for admins so can't see i...

International membership fee
Hi all, I don't want this to sound like a complaint but I feel the membership fee is a little excessive for those of us outside USA who will miss out on a lot of the workshops and other benefits that being local brings. I'm just a line grunt with 3 growing boys so can't justify the current cost. If ...

Re: Problems with Leathered Absolute Black Granite
A mitred edge like that would be scrapped here in NZ. That's not even close to a satisfactory standard for our market. Sure leathered AB has it's challenges but a decent tradesman should be able to handle them easily.

Re: Dimut tooling on Northwood router
I used to work in a shop that did exactly this. We measured each piece to find thinnest section and then we had our calibrator height tied in with last 2 diamonds and polish (CARE: you've got to fudge the measure for this to work and I take NO responsibility for how badly you fudge a measure). Each ...

Re: Engraving Bits
I've run quite a few jobs with both PCD and sintered engraving tooling, we use the sintered on marble, seems to hold the "V" better that way. I really enjoy this style of machining as there is a fine line for error but if you pull it off it has that WOW factor that everyday machining lacks after a w...

Newb intro
Hi, just signed up, found the site a while ago but have always only accessed it during work hours for research purposes and never actually got round to joining up till now. Great site for advice and laughs from what I've seen.
Cheers
