Re: Stream lining. From sale to installation
We had same problem. We found a website for project management that uses a white board like system but with more detail. www.monday.com (used to be called dapulse) I believe it was designed for larger corporations for collaboration purposes but works extremely well for staying on top of your project...

Re: UV Resistant Brown Marble
Actually people buy phones because of there beautiful screens all the time, it's one of the main selling points. People also walk up to lambos to get a closer look all the time because they never see them. I'm sure it does have some drawbacks. But like I said I have no experience with it.. But I'm a...

Re: UV Resistant Brown Marble
Not to feed the fire but back to the Stoneguard. I personally don't have any experience with the material but it sounds like a really cool idea especially since you wont know it's there. I understand it is not normal practice and is fairly new to the industry. I personally don't see a problem with i...

Re: Looking for opinions on quartzite seamwork [pics]
We had a similar situation from one of our distributors. Our customer picked out "Super White". When it was delivered it was clearly Mont Blanc marble. After testing it with acid we made sure to inform the customer that it was indeed marble. We wanted to make sure the customer knew how to take prope...

Milwaukee INKZALL Liquid Paint Markers https://www.milwaukeetool.com/press-releases/milwaukee-introduces-inkzall-liquid-paint-markers I grabbed one of these from home depot just to try out and they are awesome. They mark on any surface and the paint is easy to clean off. They are a little pricey but...

Re: New GMM Saw
I love our Brio Easy but it seems like GMM keeps pushing out saws that are too similar. The Intra is a Brio with the vaccum pad for moving pieces and the eXtra seems like it is an Intra with automatic depth finder and tool magazine. Maybe this is an option and tell me if I'm wrong, but couldn't they...

Air Polisher Repair
We a couple Barranca air polishers that weren't taken care of and have seized up. Does anyone know of a place that can repair these cheaper than it would cost to buy new ones?

Re: Butcher block cutouts in granite?
notch the butcher block so it sits on top of the stone, set it in the hole. then you can leave 1" room if needed. dabs of silicone prevent block from moving. I like that idea. If I'm picturing it correctly it would act in the same way as a drop-in sink or cooktop. Outside edge overlapping the stone.

Re: Scribing w/ LT55 and Brio
haha no I haven't called Taf. We've actually been shooting emails back and forth about other things. Bringing up this kind of slipped my mind. I'll have to bother him with it. In order to cut the scribe by hand I'd have to print out Mylar templates to trace the scribe. This sounds good but that stuf...

Re: Scribing w/ LT55 and Brio
So I played around with this idea for a couple hours. I downloaded Autcad LT and turned the scribe into a continuous polyline with PEDIT. Unfortunately when importing the dxf into the Brio the line disappears, making a incomplete drawing. I also tried replacing the line segments with arcs. This only...

Re: Scribing w/ LT55 and Brio
The only CAD based program we have is Laser Products laser template software. I would have to get one. Any suggestions on good free cad programs?

Scribing w/ LT55 and Brio
At the moment we are currently using a LT55 for templating and a Brio CNC for all cutting. When I shoot scribes with multiple points the Brio interprets these lines similar to inside corners, making relief cuts to free the piece. I heard that there is a way to make the scribe a continues line instea...

Re: Automatic Delta Faucet
The rubber gaskets is a great idea as well as the shrink tube. I give him a call and let him know what was advised, I am sure that would be easier than grounding an entire slab.

Automatic Delta Faucet
I just had a customer contact me, who we put Solaris Granite in their kitchen, ask me if we had ever heard of Delta auto touch faucet give our customers any issues. After dealing with the Delta reps and other kitchen and bath dealers with no good answer, he asked me why his faucet would turn when th...
