Re: having issues with small vanities moving on CNC when fingering a sink cutout
Andy, do you polish on the green pods? We always have more vacuum than that and very rarely have anything move using Blick pods, are the seals in good shape.

Re: Youtube said so.....
Depending on the stone, we hit the edge first with an almost wore out 100 or 200 grit pad to hit the high points, then a brush or two. I think we use the 60, 120, and 240 brushes.

Re: Green pod accuracy tolerance
There is nothing more aggravating than spending huge amounts of money for machines that are capable of milling down to the .001... as well as the painstaking hours to get our table inside of .003 over 16 ft ... then buying top quality tools... just to find out that a pod or two is too short and tea...

Re: Alphacam
As far as i know that is it on say just offsetting lines. How can the software decide what side of the line to offset for the blade and a single unjoined, unconnected line. With the geometry there should be a way in the latest software but it takes less than five minutes to program most slabs manual...

Re: Alphacam
You do have to account for blade kerf when programming. Say you need multiple 3" strips draw a box the size you need say 3" x 96", and then offset the line as geometry 3.15 and make sure the tool directions are on the outside, hit the go button and it should cut perfect 3" pieces. Our normal granite...

Re: Northwood 138 router not docking tools correctly
If it stops in random places every time you could have a bad rotary encoder. If it stops in the same place you when you try to load or unload tools it was probably crashed and a NW tech can talk you through resetting it. Hopefully it may just be the belt needs replacing and position reset.

Re: Comparing Template systems
We have owned a LT-55, a Leica 3d Disto and now a Proliner 7. We have found the Proliner to be so much faster and more accurate that we have not touched the laser in months. The LT software is very easy to use and it is used in our office for simple layout and quotes daily. We take only raw data on ...

On the other hand, I've run them (A30 r5orr6) for almost a year and recently went back to Terminator for this profile. We did run them to polish but the results were not as good as other tools we have run and we never ran them at their advertised speed of 400 ipm. We ran 2 tools at 295 and the polis...

We run a surface pro 2 and it seams to work great. The only problem is that if you don't shut it down after measuring it does not like to reconnect to wifi from sleep mode.

Enhanced concealed carry here. Concealed carry only requires background check and 90 day wait, the enhanced endorsement requires an eight hour class. With an enhanced permit in Mississippi just about no place is off limits but police dept. or courtroom. Everyone is different but most officers I know...

We do mostly 3cm but love the sinkits. They are so must faster to install and takes just a minute to machine the holes. We drill to about 5/8 in 3cm.

On our Northwood with the slab texturing software we seem to average about 2 hours a slab on most granite we have tried. We have some silver travertine to do this week and some black pearl so I will have the guys check the times. We have been very pleased with the results so far.

We bought a Weha Flip cart (display at St Louis ) last year for around 400 I believe but we also use an assortment of shop carts just as much. Sometimes we load every part by hand and some with a vacuum lifter but most of the time we use a clamp. Everyone trust the clamp more than the vacuum. Just w...

Re: Need help!! Top polish black pearl
I would try mb 20 or tin oxide first. I recently top polished a seam in black pearl because of a badly bowed piece of stone and started at 100 grit. Took about 3 hours but looked great and GC could not find it. Most important thing is not to rush or you will have to redo. Mb20 is amazing for top pol...
