Re: Intermac Master 30 Issues
We had our Intermac Jet CT have a similar meltdown a couple of months ago. We got it up and running again by opening the NC cabinet and flipping all the circuit breaker switches off and on again. Probably would pay to give the components in there a good blowout with some compressed air too, and pull...

Re: Intermac 30 icam
For letters going outside are you selecting the word as TEXT or closed polylines if it's text explode it and try re grouping. I've gone of the 60 degree bit using flat. The reason I find it dosnt pocket the machine path is if the bit diameter is greater than the area it needs to fit into. I tend to...

Re: Intermac 30 icam
I've tried several times pocketing seems to work best but as you say Ben sometimes it leaves a thin line where it hasn't touched between passes. I can get 3d text going but on a 10mm diameter with 60 degrees angle I have to go 8mm deep to get it does. I had better success doing the text in Corel dr...

Re: Intermac 30 icam
Alright I had a crack at setting ours up. I set up a 6mm flat top diamond tip mill to engrave text to a depth of 0.5mm. Firstly I tried to use the 3d text feature on ICam, however it came back with an error saying that operation is not allowed on this machine. Next I programmed the text to be pocket...

Re: training for intermac43
I run a 2002 Intermac Jet CT and for programming we use ICAM 3D, so there may be some overlap in programming between the machines. I'm based on the Gold Coast in Australia so I can only really correspond online, but any questions you have, feel free to ask!

Re: CNC CW/CCW Tool Direction Question
Make sure your radius drawing isn't exploded That will create segments the tool will follow By exploded do you mean curves translated in cad as hundreds of tiny linked straight line segments? We had that problem with splines in ICam 3D, but we've found work arounds. Our machine does perfect bottom ...

Re: CNC CW/CCW Tool Direction Question
We do this all day on euro seam so it doesn't chip on the final breakout it really consist of creating a weak spot exactly where you want it to break. [ Genius, I always just cut away from the face, which generally makes cutouts snap out into the waste direction, but I'll be employing this relief c...

Re: mark on slab the template
Pencils, whiteout, crayons, depends on the texture and colour of the piece, and whether we're cnc millling the cutouts or doing them by hand on the wet floor.

Re: cermaic granite cutting
Seconded on the continuous edge blades, and go very slowly using lots of water. Ive seen this stuff melt when dry cut. Also when we're line polishing and smoothing the overhangs, we cut a very small arris into the edges. This stops it chipping so much. Not much you can do at the bridge saw stage but...

Re: Reccomended Marble router feeds speeds for CNC
Personally, I'd just do some trial and error on some offcuts. We run our 20mm diamond mills at 6000 RPM and 500mm/m feed rate for engineered stone on our Intermac Jet CT, so perhaps set up with some similar settings and adjust them if the machine is working too hard or easily. I typically run throug...

Re: Cnc table maintenance
Maintenance-wise, I usually clean all the granite mud left over from the days work with a squidgee and use the clean machine water from the spindle to hose it off before I head home for the day. Monthly I'll scrub it with some CLR descaler and a broom. We just finished milling the table smooth since...
