Re: Stone Grid Software
Just FYI- This product was developed partially at our facility over a 2 plus year period. I was originally contacted by Prem when he was selling Focus software. We tried to work with them for about a year. The software never really worked for us the way we were told it was going to. They actually to...

How do I get in to the Facebook group? I heard there is a pumpkin truck discussion going on. I think I would have a lot to add to that discussion.

Les, I believe that is the granquartz version of the Zares machine. We bought the Zares last year and the results have been great. Definitely worth the money if you have enough machines and volume to justify the investment.

Re: Fabricator Manpower
Hi guys I'm wondering how you have your shop manpower set up? Currently I am the general manager but I also template (sticks and glue) which only takes maybe a third of my time. Then I roam the office (one girl in the office quoting and coordinating), the shop and sites as needed (extra hands etc)....

Re: Fabricator Manpower
First thing is to understand the capacity of anything and everything in your business. I break our business into different areas- Marketing, Sales, Templating, Fabrication, Installation and administration. Each area has it's own capacity based on how much resources (manpower, equipment, budget, etc....

Re: Estimating Program
Do a google search for ERP software. Then send an email out to one of the websites that you're looking for a software solution. That will keep you busy for a month or two fielding calls from sales reps wanting to set up demos!

Thanks Rick. I thought I heard something about Marmo doing a complete refurbish. I will give them a call as well as Ned. i don't even know who sales Marmo or who the rep is anymore. I thought it was Jim Callahan last time I spoke with them, but he's with GQ now.

Marmo 711
We have two Marmo 711 machines that we need to either replace or refurbish. I think I heard that you can have them completely refurbished by Marmo. Anybody ever done that or know anything about it? Or know anybody else that would do it? We are in Atlanta and Chattanooga.

Re: HELP! Shop might replace me & I need to stop it
We have two shops. One uses LT55s and one uses Proliners. Each shop thinks their's is better because thats what theyre used to. Honest feedback seems to be that Proliners are better on jobs with angles and u shapes. LT software is much better. I couldn't read most of the original posters posts from ...

And I sent a long email to Ben a month ago, just as requested by someone in your orginization, explaining the problems we have had with the machines and service. I did not receive any response.
I sent an email to Ben and Robbie yesterday and a text. I got no response.

Richard, As we speak a NW tech is repairing the x and y axis and a broken belt on our 2016 machine that is 10 months old. Same as we did 10 times on the 2015 machine before you guys changed the ballscrew. I am suere it is the same problem on the 2016 machine. We never had problems on the old machine...

Re: Northwood Warranty
In a former life I managed a large service organization in the printing industry. A machine down for a month? A MONTH? Someone at the OEM should be shot. The comments about the loss in service response and competence (sending the wrong part out TWICE!?) likely indicates a significant change in dire...

I will also point out that 2300 of the quote is for tech travel and lodging. We just had an Omag saw installed and we didn't pay 2300 for the tech to fly from Italy, food and lodging for a week. The NW quote is for four hours service,
And this machine 10 months old and under warranty!

Re: Northwood Warranty
I will give you another example. The 2015 that has had so many belts replaced, a NW tech finally told us that the ballscree was bad and needed a o be replace. We said fine, it's under warranty. We waited and waited and NW finally sent someone out with the wrong ball screw. They told us someone would...
