Re: Leatherhead for Destiny CNC (from Park Industries)
What I don't quite understand with this question is the tool "raising up into the machine" The Leatherhead is a springloaded device designed to achieve pressure. It is held by a toolholder that is already attached to the spindle. So, while the tool is on the stone under pressure, some of the upward...

Re: LT-55, raising/lowering laser
Thanks for all of your replies. We're going to shoot and cut a few more kitchens using the suggestions posted and see our results. One of our templators was making it a habit to loosen the screw, then raise or lower, then tighten it back up again, which was probably messing things up. Once again, th...

LT-55, raising/lowering laser
Hi guys, When raising/lowering the laser, should we be un-tightening the screw on the side , then re-tightening the screw, and then re-level? Will just keeping the the screw snug, but not too tight, enough to be able to raise/lower the laser without massing up the level? We've had some problems rece...

Leatherhead for Destiny CNC (from Park Industries)
It's just a coincidence that there's a recent thread of Blick leatherheads. We purchased one for our Destiny but found that it's too big for our machine. It would severely damage our CNC casing, ball bearing, and spindle if the tool were to raise up into the machine. We're looking at the Tenax brush...

Using sink dxf in CNC
Hi, brand new CNC operator here. We would like to use sink dxf files downloaded from manufacturers' websites to create a digital path for the CNC machine to follow (We have a Park Industries Destiny machine). As you know, dxf files need to be edited in CAD to remove all of the extra text. I'm having...

Thanks for your replies.
Follow up: What should the HP load be for the polishing bits? When the bits were alligned correctly, we were seeing .1 HP.

Park Industries CNC question
We've recently started using a CNC machine, and we've just been practicing edging and polishing straight edged slabs. Nothing fancy. Everything seems to go well with the first four bits. Our issue is with the last three polishing bits. We're noticing that a diameter difference of .01" will either me...
