Thank you very much to all that replied. I am experimenting with both flexible led strips and the more rigid aluminum led strips.. more expensive but a little brighter.

Thanks Dave, I have actually tried rope lighting but it either wasnt bright enough or when you push it up against the surface you can see the "rope" lines, so i was hoping for somthing better perhaps the sheets of led's that i had heard of but havnt been able to source?

Can I ask what members are using as the best method of backlighting onyx as a vanity top. The application is a bathroom vanity with a 4" ish mitred skirt. We have built a lexan box as added strength for the onyx to sit on. A hotel in vegas i was just at said that they used strips of LED's. Where do ...
