I own a granite shop and im trying to create a formula how many sq.ft should one man be able to fabricate in an 8 hour day.

well after a week of having my new crew the shop foreman has totally cleaned up the shop and organized everything i no the saying they all come out of the gate strong for a couple of weeks i guess we will see but as it stands so far so good.

We recently decided we are going to get what you pay for ,by paying great money for our new crew of fabricators it has made a world of deference.We have always paid little money for our fabricators and being the production manager has done nothing but given me and the customers and big fat call back...

Thought i would let every one know a little elbow grease and some paint thinner got the paint marks finally out it took me about an hour and a half and a scotch bright pad.......

Ill give those suggestions a try thanx.

We were laying the job out with those white paint pens on some black honed granite, for the life of me we cannot get the white pen marks to come off the granite.weve tried acetone,paint thinner wet rags,the marks will not come off.
does any one have any suggestions?

Does any one have any thoughts on using scrap pieces of granite for things?
The pieces that are to small for vanitys or anything else.

Has any one heard of the tomahawk stone splitter its a type of press that makes driveway pavers, backsplash etc. out of granite scraps.
I thought of purchasing one and seeing if theres much of a market for those types of things.

Can anyone help me out Im doing a 3cm granite backspalsh do i install the countertop first then the backsplash or vise versa.how do you get the backsplash to fit tight under the upper cabinets?

Well i went back and cut 2 inch strips roughed them up cleaned them up used epoxy and BAM worked great .

The uba tuba job was 3cm most of our work is with prefab but we do slab work also.

are you a fabricator? Not that it matters but if you are honest about your experiance and skillset you can be better aided. ;) I own a small granite shop that deals in prefab 2cm granite we sometimes run into issues. one being cracks in granite thats why Im asking If any one out there new something...
