I think the speed on these needs to be greatly reduced. I was looking for a sponsor link and it scrolled by several times before I managed to 'catch' or click it.

Re: Scrolling Sponsor Buttons
We tend to bounce from subject to subject fast around here, sometimes in the same sentence.....
You'll soon have lots of other comments about us.
Have you ran out of posts pertaining to stone and already started looking at the formats??

I'm actually surprised the sponsors did not notice. Their logo goes by so fast you can't even click it or you click the one you don't intend to.

Re: Scrolling Sponsor Buttons
Just click the tab titled OUR SPONSORS this will give you a list of their icons to choose from and they won't pass you by.
Thank you for the suggestion.

You can then stare at it as long as you like.

Here's what would happen if we slowed them down......
" Why does it sit so long on sponsor x. Nobody gets to see my logo on page 2"

Re: Scrolling Sponsor Buttons
Yes, this is what I had to do. Otherwise it takes forever to 'catch' the sponsor on the scrolling sponsor buttons. There are 12 to 14 sponsors in each scroll. You cannot identify the sponsor fast enough to click their sponsor link.CustomMarbleGraniteToo wrote:Just click the tab titled OUR SPONSORS this will give you a list of their icons to choose from and they won't pass you by.

If you have not completed web design as your job, I have, you should concentrate on granite countertops.

Seriously, what is your problem?
We are a group of volunteers that give up our time maintain and run this organization and our members contribute and share their time and experience to better the industry.
A broken link, an unfinished web page or scrolling logos is not a concern and will be addressed in the order of priority and with the Meg Workshop around the corner can you guess the order of priority ?

Maybe you should find a job doing websites instead of starting a granite company

Not wise to come here and ask for help and turn around and talk smack

I posted a constructive suggestion relating to the website in the 'Suggestion Box' section of the forum. What exactly is wrong with that?

I posted a constructive suggestion in the 'Suggestion Box' section of the forum. Not talking smack. It is not my style. Just trying to suggest improvements where possible.
Maybe you and other who are offended by suggestions should re-read the tab title SFA/Site Rules.

Re: Scrolling Sponsor Buttons
Hey Dan, relax a little bit, I was just goofing around a little. But you are correct counter tops is my focus and not the internet. I have no web training, just the granite business. There I have a bit of experience. So I can maybe help on some natural stone questions.
Your observations will noted, categorized, labeled, filed and researched by top people. I can notify you when action is taken on these subjects, then you can re examine the changes and we can continue the process. Thanks for your input, it is very valuable.

Re: Scrolling Sponsor Buttons
There is a stop button at the bottom left corner of the banner that works. There are also fast forward and rewind buttons so you can move them as you wish.
