Greetings All,
We at Bonstone have developed a new product that we think would be of interest to many of you. It’s a truly unique adhesive called Touchstone Glacier.
• Do you use Thassos or Carrera or any of the other light-colored marbles?
• Do you have issues with the dark “halo” effect (dark line) at your lam line?
• Do you need a uv-stable adhesive—one that can be used outdoors that won’t turn your invisible seam into a yellow line after a few days’ exposure to the sun?
• Do you need an easy-to-use adhesive that will solve all the above problems?
Then you need Touchstone Glacier!
Learn more about Glacier here: http://www.bonstone.com/products/glacier/
We’d like to hear from you, with your stories/questions/comments about these issues. Have you encountered these problems? How have you tried to solve these issues? Have you tried other products? Have you tried Glacier? Let’s start a conversation…
Thank you!

Re: Touchstone Glacier
It is a really good epoxy for working with light colored stones as the background is crystal clear and won't yellow at all.
Check out this repair that I had to do on an island for a parade home. No more material. Full slab island that the edge just crumbled when set on the cart to take into the customer's home so they saw it and claimed they wouldn't accept any repair on it at all.
After I showed them the repair they were ecstatic!
Pretty extreme closeup of the repaired area and the picture is way worse than in person.
I added just a touch of white colorant to it and also added some marble dust to the epoxy. I took some of the white marble and crushed it into a really fine dust for the white area and a piece of marble with grey veining and crushed it for the grey areas.
After gluing we put it back up on the cnc and ran off 1/32" to clean everything up.

Re: Touchstone Glacier
We have switched from Stone Weld to Glacier for all exterior projects. We use the Touchstone Edge System now for laminations and miters, but everything else exterior gets Glacier. It's too good not to use, not to mention the 50/50 ratio.

Re: Touchstone Glacier
I might have missed it but is this a flowing product or knife grade? Also would this be suitable to use instead of using the edge system for all lamination's?

Re: Touchstone Glacier
Right now it is a knife grade epoxy. It does start to set up pretty quickly but not too bad that you couldn't laminate with it.

Re: Touchstone Glacier
What Matt said. You can definitely laminate with it, but it's not as convenient as the Touchstone Edge System, being a knife grade.
