Re: Poseidon Machinery
Not sure why a Poseidon customer would not explain its problems they had with the company. My company has bought several machines for Joe and have been very pleased with all of them. We purchased a bridge saw and a reconditioned Bimateh cnc to start in 2011. This equipment was a whole new experience to us in the fact that no one in my shop has had any experience with this type of equipment, Lt55, or Cad. They came in set machines up and trained us. Don't get me wrong when they left my guys heads were still spinning, but Joe and his techs were always available to help us walk through thing we ran into. We had some minor problems, but they were handled. In 2013 we decided to add a second cnc so I called Joe. He had a several options for us and we decided to go with the Techno MBM. This machine had very few issues with it and all got addressed at install. The biggest thing with this machine was the cad software is alot more detailed than than other brand the we are used too. That being said a tech from this cad company was brought in to train us on that. As my shop continues to expand we will continue to by our equipment fro Joe Alva

Re: Poseidon Machinery
My saw was over six weeks late. It arrived with epoxy primer and paint allover the rack and pinion system that we spent days grinding off so the thing could travel forward and back without binding up. Not to mention it was suppose to come with a 15 hp motor and ended up being a 10hp. The gear motor for the forward and back travel broke with in days and yes joe did cover that. The saw did not even come with a water line so i had to run one and fabricate a set up for it to cool the blade the original cord kinked and i would lose functions over and over spending time rewiring it until i ran out of cord and had a new one sent still it has happened numerous times. The chinease wireless set up joe sent could not even be hooked up with out relay switches and and dc converters which i understood. Then i was told that the motor and variable speed would have to be separate and still stationary which defeats the purpose of a wireless setup. Also the blade wobbles and eight inch back and forth as it comes up and down and recently had to replace the gear motor for the up and down function. The new cord that has been sent has been rewired to the pendant three times at least. Even after joes technician left there were still issues that should never be. Did i mention it wasn't even sent with a hydraulic pump to lift the table till weeks later and wasn't even the right one and needed alterations to work. I've spent countless hours making this thing right the epoxy primer that joe raved about the paint did not adhere to properly and chips off all the time joe was good about the issues at first but now ya its out of warranty its pathetic you claim i contacted you a year later i was working on a commercial project installing didn't even use the thing for six months. it problem docent even have 200 hrs on it.i don't blame joe for not wanting to hear from me any longer because we both know that the only way to make it right would be to start over. I could honestly go on forever. long story short who does not send a water line on a stone saw it was a rush job as they were moving from Miami to Punta Gorda florida and i got screwed.

Re: Poseidon Machinery
I bought my first bridge saw from Joe about 4 years ago and its still running like a beast. With Joe's advice and expertise, I was able to layout my shop not just for efficiency, but for growth. During the early days, I must have called Joe a thousand times for advice and each and every time he came through for me. Now we are in moving into a bigger shop and without hesitation, I called Joe for machinery to expand my shop and increase my production. We have already purchase the Poseidon Viking CNC Bridge Saw and can't wait for the beast to show up. I would like to offer the opportunity to anybody who is interested to stop by to see it in action.

Re: Poseidon Machinery
Mike,
A pendant remote control with a cord is going to have issues depending on the use it gets also. Many times pendant controls are left on the work table, hanging from the side rail, or fall on the floor. I'm sure a lot of people can attest to that.
I am not sure how you can say our service is not good considering even 2 years later, we sent you a robotics flexible cable at no charge. We also told you ahead of time you WOULD NOT be able to install the wireless remote(which by the way, most are made in CHINA if not all). You asked us to charge you for it. We did not, and we shipped it anyway to you.
The way that you are thankful is by making it seem as if we sent you something that is not a good product. It can not be mounted because of the reasons we told you, regardless where it is made. That model functions on many saws and we are not the only ones who employ that system. It would be nice if you could ship it back since you are not using it.
If you would like service for a machine that is out of warranty, we will be here to give you a discounted labor rate. You can contact us anytime.
Please don't let it be in 6-12 months because you are busy with other jobs. We will also purchase your machine back without you having to order a new POSEIDON if you are interested in that option. This way, you will be able to compare our service to another company's.

Re: Poseidon Machinery
I just purchased a PT7000 about a month ago. Along every bit of the process, I found everyone at Poseidon to be extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
Even though they were in Miami for a trade show, my saw showed up on time, and the tech was here the following week for set up. He worked his butt off and got us up and running in no time.
The saw is one hell of a piece of machinery. We are cutting at 3 times the pace that we were before with not one problem in the programming or with the hardware itself.
Joe and his crew have been top notch and I would not hesitate to recommend them and their machinery to anyone.

Re: Poseidon Machinery

I will just ask Joe Alva one question.
What machine do I have who made it and who sold it if it wasn't you?

You don't have to worry about "Trashing Us" on here. There is nothing to trash. You can tell the truth on this forum. That's what it's here for. You purchased a machine from us through a broker. I think its fair you tell the truth about the situation. Emailing people in private and claiming that you are suing our company(which is not true) does not seem very professional to me.
I think if you truly have an issue with our company, you should not have issues speaking about it openly.
Anyone can contact me or anyone from our company. We have many happy customers all over the USA and beyond that can attest to the quality of our equipment and service.
Best Regards,
Joe Alva

Re: Poseidon Machinery
Jim,
As stated several times, we are more than happy to send a technician to perform your installation. You must call us to coordinate the installation and plan the travel for our technician. If you wish to save travel expenses for our technician and have an outside independent local technician perform the installation, of whom Poseidon does not know their qualifications, you must follow the protocol that we have sent to you via email.
Email is the best way to get in touch with us. Also, our office has made several attempts to call you in the past few months to follow up, with no return calls.
I would also recommend you desist from making posts here which allude that we have not been willing and ready to install your saw since you had called 2 months after your saw was delivered stating you were ready for the installation.
Thanks
Joe

I would call the broker who sold me the machine. A slippery lot, on the whole, at best, imo.

Re: Poseidon Machinery
Joe
I am not asking for an install manual now, as I have hired a machine service company that works here locally and throughout the Midwest in the stone industry installing and servicing stone machines. I am only asking for an operating manual, and a maintenance manual.
Are you saying that Poseidon Machines does not have just an operating manual that your Tec would leave if the install was performed by your Tec?
Your only call to me was 12/11/2014 at 5:30.10 and you left a number and voice mail requesting I contact you back on December 12. I returned your call not once but 6 times over the course of a week and left you 3 voice mails along with my office number and my mobile with instructions to please contact me any time on my mobile to get this resolved.
I received no call from your company or any call from you. My phone system details every call incoming and outgoing so and stores them for 24 months so please do not attempt to say different.
All I am asking for from you is the manual as per your emails you said you would send, so please just send them

I asked Joe who sold me the machine if he didn't in a post a few months ago and as of yet no posting from him on that.

Re: Poseidon Machinery
Jim,
We invoiced the machine to your company. That is true. We did not speak to anyone from your company until after the sale was finalized as it was handled by a broker, whom you know very well who it is. A 3rd party had arranged the sale and your leasing company contacted us. We spoke to you for the first time after the order was placed, never before.
This policy has changed permanently(working thru brokers).
Sincerely,
Joe
