dear members
I have a lot.of customer coming in to cut ceramic skirting and borders for flooring. problem is when we cut with bridge cutter or any marble cutting machine the edge chips. when we cut with waterjet it comes good. is their any way we can get good cut without waterjet cutting.

Two things,
1. If you use a continuous rim blade to cut the ceramic, you shouldn't have the chips.
2. Check your private messages.

Seconded on the continuous edge blades, and go very slowly using lots of water. Ive seen this stuff melt when dry cut.
Also when we're line polishing and smoothing the overhangs, we cut a very small arris into the edges. This stops it chipping so much. Not much you can do at the bridge saw stage but progress very slowly and hope it doesn't break, as far as im aware
Needless to say, everyone hates working with it.
