Anyone have any pictures of laminated sink holes, which make the sink sit lower in the hole.
Thanks Steve

Re: Laminating sink hole so sink sits deeper
Do you mean for a self rimming "drop-in" sink, or an undermount?
I don't have any photos, but I vaguely remember seeing an undermount done this way... to make the thickness appear the same at the sink and the edge. It is a cool idea.

Steve:
This is Corian, but the theory is the same no matter the material:
On this job it was build the top down or relaminate the cabinet front and have a large gap between the bottom of the sink and the top of the doors. Easy call.
Here's a 2cm granite top with a 2cm front edge build-up where the doors wouldn't let me build the sink cut-out down. It looks fine.

Re: Laminating sink hole so sink sits deeper
Really not a fan of the straight cuts with this type of sink opening, aesthetically. It seems to me you look at what millwork people do when you have to terminate a chair rail or molding in the middle of a wall. I would think you could put a "return" or just put a 45 degree angle cut on the out side corner. Not sure what thats called but I have seen in trimwork.
