Iceberg quartzite discoloring 1 1/2 years after install. Discoloring in random areas. No dishwasher in any area.
Lots of windows-UV? Island is cut into pickets, and reassembled, re-polished. All sealed with Dry treat.
Anyone see this before?

I have had this happen to material that is outside, but not inside. I think it is iron in the stone that leaches out. It looks like a reaction to the natural light. I'm curious.

looks like iron oxidation. test it for iron using ALPHA rsr2000. place a small drop on the stain..If it turns purple within 5 min its a positive test for iron
