leathered/antiqued this stone? Bedrosians "MinksBronze"



The homeowner really wants a textured top and loves this material, but if it will look like crap i'd like to know before i get to brushing.

Yep,

After I blast it tough with #45 Quartz. I would open it up to get some good depth on it then brush it.

So how do you leather it & do you feel it is as nice as the factory finish??
& what kind of expense is it to leather a slab??

Also has anyone ever used a CNC machine to leather stone

Stoneman - I usd out CNC to brush. Painstackingly slow. Radial arm is much faster.

It brushes beautifully. We've done miles of it.

Get your colors ready because Minsk comes out of the ground sporting it's natural color, which is white.

You use antiquing brushes on a radial arm polisher, a CNC or even a floor machine.
Go to 300 grit for full color and depth or 1200 grit if you want a caresse finish.
