Does anyone know of a quick way to delete all the "N()" in the code below?
I know you can find like words and delete or replace them all at once so it seems like there should be a quick way to delete all the N numbers and just leave the x and Y's. It irritates me that i have to highlight and delete each one individually.
Buddy of mine said to use search and replace with a wildcard. hope this help as i have no idea what hes talking about
He uses notepad in conjunction with our cnc quite often to run multiple parts at the same time.
we use note pad to combine cnc programs because our Park Destiny uses Stonecam software. It doesnt alow us to load up multiple parts at the same time and program. so we have to program each piece seperatly. But we figured out with notepad we can combine the programs and load up a bunch of parts on the cnc. By combining the programs each tool only runs once, instead of picking up a finger bit, running a wall then grabbing the next tool etc. with 4 parts up a mill bit would run several times without combining. even at 45 seconds a tool change it adds up fast.
I dont know if im explaining this very well but it works for us very well. As long as each process has a different name it allows easy combining. wall1 profile2 seam3 etc. for each piece.
apparently when i lissage parts, the program generates a N# at the beginning of each line that causes problems with easystone. I asked Omag about it and apperently they cant fix it because my operating system is windows 98. its more of an annoyance than anything, but this "wildcard" trick seems like it will work well when i need it to.
Ahhhh. Dude, have you asked them about switching to an xp computer? Pretty sure it sounds more complicated than it is, but not wor it if you have a workaround.
