Removing Marker Stain

Anyone have any idea how we can remove this blue marker from around the rim of the sink? One of my installers was tracing the cut out on plywood with a blue crayola washable marker and now it won't come off.

I attached a photo, it may be hard to see but its on the left side of the sink around the rim.

I would try Acetone and Bar Keepers friend or Ajax. If that doesn't do it, try what Hilde said.

Denatured Alcohol has been the most effective solvent that I have used to remove ink stains.

Pour strait clorox on it. It will be gone in three minutes.

This has removed a perm sharpie for me before. Although mine was on the horizontal surface and I could let it set and soak for a while.

You may have to keep scrubbing or build some type of tape dam to hold it on there. Poultice of bleach and comet with bleach may do the trick.

Could always try a torch or heat gun first. Heat has a way of pulling stains out with a little time...

We did some steps and had a similar problem. We finally found a solvent in a gel form it worked well but I cannot remember the brand.

By accident discovered a new recipe for Sharpie marker stains. Acetone or Denatured with volcanic ash. This is the stuff they use for the water presses. Way better than DE or baking soda.

I stopped by the customer's house on my way to the office and all I had at home was bleach and comet. It worked but it took a while to get out. Prevention is key, never want to do that again!
