Miter Edge
I would like to hear peoples opinion on getting a Accuglide Saw with miter master attachment or a Blue Ripper Miter Master.
I know neither would be a good long term solution but we would like to get a few jobs out before we really jump in with both feet.
By the way if you have either one of these for sale please let me know.

Re: Miter Edge
Alpha had a nice little miter saw demo in the cage at Surfaces. It actually cut a nice miter. Not sure what the others cost but I think I heard it was under $700 retail. I didn't stick around to get details but I'm sure you can look them up.

Re: Miter Edge
did the alpha do a full miter so you could use it for doing a waterfall edge? or was it just for doing like a 1/4 or 1/2" miter for an edge detail?

Re: Miter Edge
Alpha had an air circular saw that mitered fully. You would need a 1" air line and 30cfm of air. It did a really good job cutting all sorts of materials. I was not standing there the entire time but never heard it bog down while I was there. They also have a beveling base that could be used for bevels, probably for mitering as well but it would take a lot longer mitering that way.

Re: Miter Edge
It was a 3cm quartz with a full cut. I put it together to check it and the cut was nice and tight. I'm not sure which one of their saws it is or what blade they used. Just know it was on a rail.

Accuglide makes a great saw - never used their mitering attachment but everything else they have including their service is top notch.H. Adkins wrote:I would like to hear peoples opinion on getting a Accuglide Saw with miter master attachment.
If you call Ben up and Accuglide and he can sometime get you a demo model for less... I know they were demoing their miter attachment and a couple saws at Expo last week so you might be able to get a deal there!

Re: Miter Edge
This comment is so late it probably doesnt matter anymore, but we have cut some real hard quartzites with our Accuglide saw and miter system. It is amazing! We may have to step cut up to 4 times , with extremely hard Quartzite but very little if any chipping and super straight and tight seams. We will be buying another very soon.
