Good day all, we could use help with honed black absolute. We currently hone our own polished material on an bed polisher, starting with 200 grit then 500 grit then use scrubbing floor pads. We have customers that would like it enhanced, we apply either ager or stone enhancer. The problem is people don't like the hand prints or the greasiness left behind. How can we keep the dullness but enhance it without the hand prints or greasiness left behind?

You can't. Unless you cover them in plastic, like my grandma's couches.

Are you applying the Ager before the final grit of the honing process?
If you start at 200 then dry off completely and allow the Ager to sit (absorb into the stone) You will be able to achieve this.
The directions are right on the can. lol

We used to use a recipe of 50/50 boiled linseed oil and mineral spirits. Wipe it on and wipe it off very thoroughly.
Recently we have gone to Aqua Mix N Rich & Seal. Easier to wipe off, even less issues than the old way.
The key is to wipe it thoroughly off after the dwell time. This means to use clean clothes and change them frequently during the wiping off process.
