We had hard rain and gusts of wind to about 50mph here. There are some trees down in the neighborhood but that's it around us. My wife works about 25 miles south in Racine. They had a tornado touch down and rip a 100' x 200' section of roof off of one of their manufacturing plants. Winds are still supposed to be high today so they can't even start repairing the roof. They're expecting the plant to be closed for the rest of the week. They also have a plant in Burr Ridge, IL that has no power so they're expecting to be closed the next couple days as well.

It seemed to die out over Lake Michigan. Chicago got nailed pretty hard but we didn't more than a heavy rain for about 20 minutes and a fairly windy day.

Dustin,
Hell yeah that damn twister hit only three miles from my shop. It closed down a couple of roads cause of debris everywhere. Sneaky bastards those tornados are, I like the advance warning from a cane alot more.

They also have a plant out there but as far as I know they're working through the snow.

It's just been windy as hell here. 50 mph gusts which for here is pretty crazy. We only see that once a year maybe during thunderstorms but not for 2 days straight.

It is fun watching the guys bringings the slabs across the parking lot in the door.

Installers also said that the Sprinter install trucks suck in this wind. 30 mph from the east and then it will snap switch to 30 mph from the west. Trucks are all over the road here.

Glad to know that you are ok.

We experienced a typhoon of 150mph last weekend. Not big damage.

The weather is getting more and more weird now. In the past, there was no more typhoon after late Sep.

Crazy winds here, also. Yesterday on my way in to work it was still dark and I couldn't see a line of trees that got knocked down across the road and very nearly hit them :o There was a tornado about 30 miles away from us that caused some damage and many trucks and suv's off the roads... crazy stuff! Like Matt said, We're used to some gusts of winds but not sustained for two days like this!

Can't believe no snow in Manitoba yet  Forecast is a low of 26 here tonight with slight chance of Snow

T-- glad to hear you were ok!

We had 2 tornadoes touchdown in the western part of our county yesterday and Tuesday. The larger of the two took out a 3 mile stretch of the county. One was about 5 miles from my parents, but we got a ton of rain here. It should have hit Dustin this morning early.

No tornadoes here, but we did get about 7 or 8" of snow with 50mph winds. Or put another way, we were moving 6 foot snow drifts with the bobcat. Winter's two days old and I already hate it.......
