CNC QUESTION
We are having trouble with the z axis when zeroing each time we try the z stops right before completing and shuts down. We have a Brembana Concept and our alarm shows EE axis not completed --- machine off. We reset, rebooted tried reseting all cables --no help. Was told maybe it is the servo but the strangest thing happened we tried jogging the z up and this time it completed and started to zero down. It is very frustrating not knowing how to trouble shoot. I guess my question is do you think it is the servo motor or does it sound like something else.what are other possabilities.

Re: CNC QUESTION
It's possible she was just a bit cranky today. Is she running?
Then again, I may not be any help. I get random errors pretty regular, and just work around them. My girl is always cranky

Re: CNC QUESTION
If that was my machine the first thing I would do is check for debris near or on the proximity sensors. Turn your machine to "safe" or lock it out for maintenance. Then with a clean rag wipe off the sensors or look for denbris prior to to fixed sensor block. I have two sensors that have been an issue over the years. One gets water on it when I run my "B" profile as the tools get changed due to air spraying water. The other one sticks (plunger style) when the temperature drops below 40 degrees in the shop.

Re: CNC QUESTION
We had the same issue CMS told me to take the covers off both sides where the belts are and grease the fittings. Once we did this everything was perfect

Re: CNC QUESTION
No Gary it didn't work. We are still trying to get to the bottom of it. I called CMS and we are working on it. Eric Pate made a suggestion which is making the machine run but still want to get it resolved. Thanks for asking
