Cyclone Cluster Wheel feedback

Hi All
The Cyclone Cluster wheels have been out for over 6 months now and we have found many great uses for them including:
• Surface honing on all types of stone.
• Rapid mesh backing removal
• Aggressive surface grinding
• Epoxy removal from all materials.
• Paint removal.
• cleaning up welds and rust removal on metal surfaces.
I am curious to see what others have found this wheel useful for?
I also would like to see if anyone has exhausted one of these yet and what kind of square footage you got? I have been seeing a very long lifespan to these.
We are also open to any product improvement suggestions.

Mark, how much are they?
I am interested in buying one. We grind mesh everyday. I will be able to give you real world feedback.

Sounds Good Nick.
Diamax does not sell directly to the end user but you can pick one up from any of the tool distributor sponsors.
I believe they all now have these in stock.

OK, I will track one down. We laminate and most everything is resined. I promise you we will give it the hardest daily workout possible

Great tool. I used it to mill Down the bottoms of an island and lams for an oggee over bull island I did the other day. Been using it since just before st. Louis and still looks brand new. Seem to be wearing really well.

For me it needs to be faster than a cup wheel for mesh removal so I will keep you posted.

Mixed results for us. Works pretty well for standard mesh removal. Doesn't work as well for the the thick fiberglass matting like what is used on rainforest. It is more difficult to use wet, especially when taking mesh off of the lam strips. It's hard to keep it flat and feel your flat while making passes. The tool works as advertised, just don't expect too much.

I heard similar from someone else Jeff. Not the flat part though, that is kinda important. It is still worth a try for us I think.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
Jeff, the cluster wheel is more effective when used dry and at higher RPMs.
We are also experimenting with different grits and backings to make this wheel more effective.

you might test a cluster design/ on a ridged metal cup wheel body. The cluster works a little better than the cup but its not flat. Still a good tool but would be better on a metal backer.

Just lost me as a customer....anytime you use the crook Kevin Padden as an endorsement for your product I will refuse to buy from you...Distributors need to know what a crook he is and has ripped off a lot of people with his accu-seam and not use him to promote there product.

I am sorry you have had problems with Kevin. Diamax did not ask Kevin to endorse or write the product review of the cluster wheel. Please do not affiliate the problems you have had with him with company. I hope things get resolved for you.

I bought one of these based on this recommendation.
Here's our feedback:
We run wet. We remove fibreglass all the time on large overhangs. That's why I bought this.
We used to use a coarse cup wheel.
Guys said this bounces too much. Have to pay attention to keep it flat. 3 passes to remove fibreglass. Summary, they are back to the cup wheel.
Oh well, we tried. I guess it might work better dry, but we cannot do that here.

Mike they work better with less water. I also find that running them a little slower allows them to run smoother.
