I am still looking for the best Anti-Slip coating for stone tile if any one has suggestions I would appreciate it.

Granquartz carries some. I have not tried it though.

What kind of stone are you trying to add a anti-slip coating on ? Is it interior or exterior ?

Have you tried the one we carry?

Absolute Black and Giallo Veneziano. It is interior in our showroom.

We had some stuff from you guys called Slip Stop. I called and talked to Ed yesterday and he said you have some stuff now called Lithotin (sp?). It is looking like that is what we will be using.

lithofin makes good products

Its looking like that is becoming the product to use. I called all the tile houses around and they couldnt help me. I called a tile setter friend of mine and he said the best thing he has ever seen is a gritty epoxy you apply, but who has time for that?

I think Briggs should send me a free 5l sample to try...

there is a product called Trusty Step. It microscopically etches the surface to create slip resistance for wet situations. It will change the appearance of the polished finish.

you should hire me. I will grind it in place, polish and apply a maintainable polish preserver. I travel :D


look into MB8 and MB10.

stay away from heavy coatings.


honestly, unless the floor is flat (NO lippage) a coating wont be appropriate. either installed by a rare quality tile setter, the tuscan leveling system or ground in place, the coating will build up in the low areas of the tiles and wont be serviceable. you'll be stripping and re-applying and it will be a nightmare.
