For those who have never seen how a quarry looks like in the early stage of its discovery, I'm posting below six videos we've recently made of this quarry of a material called TIGER WOOD:

I'm posting attached a picture of the material after resined and polished, so you know the color.

This quarry was discovered two years ago and only a few blocks we extracted. Now Brothers in Granite is investing on this quarry again and new blocks will come out very soon.

Just a quick note about the weather at the quarry on that day: It was at least 35 degrees Celsius, which should be close to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. We are in the middle of the summer here in Brazil. As some of you should know, the very hot weather combined with the high humidity of the air makes you sweat all your pants in seconds!

If you pay attention to some of those videos, you will hear my voice sounding very tired. We had to climb a few rocks to make those videos. It was a lot of fun, but it felt very hot after we got up there!

If any of you guys ever want to visit a quarry, we would be happy to take you there. But please remember your sun-block cream!!!

PS: I still think we should try to have a SFA workshop down here in Brazil one day. You guys would learn a lot. I would be happy to receive you all down here and make your stay as fun as possible!
