Do you ever watch Fox News? Palin is on there every night telling us how Republicans think. I think she was being begged to run. And I also remember that she was who Republicans thought would be a good choice to be a hearbeat from the presidency the last go around.

Miles, look at her record as Governor. She did a great job getting rid of corruption and helping the people of Alaska. I went to see her speak when she ran with McCain, she was spot on with the issues and inspiring. You can take your silly little soundbites and shove them! Although I like Palin I understand why Democrats may not like her. She is an intelligent person but she can be abrasive and rub people the wrong way.

Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Barbara Boxer, Diane Feinstein Al Frankin, and the nut job in the video are actually elected democrats. Who votes for these people? Is the voter just so tied into their emotional view of themselves as a democrat they ignore the reality of who these people are? Are the voters of this country unable to see thru rhetoric and/or unwilling to critically think about issues and policies?

Miles, I truly think you are a capitalist at heart and that you don't necessarily believe in a big nanny state gov't. But I also believe are are emotionally tied to being and viewing yourself as a democrat and it over rides everything else. You see things thru a prism of a lot of emotion that prevents you from seeing reality. Your comments about how you believe conservatives feel about immigration is a telling sign.

I am not a republican. I did not grow up in the US. My perspective has been formed over the last 10 years. I'm more pragmatic. I see the numbers and it is obvious to me that this country is headed for a huge financial crises as bad a Greece. You can quibble over a billion here and there but the bottom line is the same. How anyone can come to any other conclusion... it is mystifying to say the least. It is fact, there is no debate, this problem cannot be solved by just taxing the rich. Those taxes are a drop in the bucket. So, when you ask a democrat like yourself Miles, what are you prepared to cut to balance the budget, all we here is a diversion back to taxing the evil rich people who are not paying their fair share. Democrats are not prepared to make any significant cut to much of anything. Yes, they will cut planned future spending increases. So my question is, why continue to defend them instead of saying they had better come to the table with spending cuts? It is not because of your pragmatism, it is because of your emotional attachment.

Republicans are going to cave on taxing the rich. Are the democrats going to put entitlement reform on the table? This problem cannot be solved without it. Pelosi says no. I say they will not as well but I hope I'm wrong.

Miles - That's my opinion and I'm sorry if it offends. But I don't know any other way to explain such a disparity. We seriously have debated building a fence between the US and Mexico to "secure" our border. But their is no worries about our other border.

Now, I'm sure you're going to come up with way to explain that you weren't calling many of is racists but, Steven asked the question and you answered it in the affirmative - seems pretty clear to me.

My lord, com'on. I thought this was a big boy discussion. I guess in the Presidential debates, every statement should have started with "I apologize for my previous statement."

Greece rises 6 notches in credit rating. Gas prices at 2 year low. Where are the stickers at the pump saying you can thank Obama for this increase in your wallet? What did Obama have to do with either? Nothing! However when it was the other way around the Anti Obama folks were in overdrive.

The point is rhetoric infused arguments will be just that. Hardened positions and no medium. The Tank vs Miles tet-a-tet is an example of why Washington will not change. Facts and balance are only right if it is their point of view. Neither of the far right and far left will change their GPS.

I look forward to the next 15 pages to show why Washington will not work.
