My regular sawyer was not working Saturday. The FNG tried to program the Rotex. He got everything correct except the Z. Did not know until the second pass.

He is now looking for another job.
Where can I send my resume?

Maybe I learned my lesson. Lesson being that Guy, Mike Dean and Miles are all smarter than me. I need to stay in the office!

Maybe I will immerse myself in this Samsung phone?

don't feel to bad I crashed the YUKON the other day. The bad thing I use it almost every day.. Here is what's weird about it I did not break any teeth off of the blade.. The stone stopped the blade in its tracks with no damage to the teeth at all. The arbor ate through the stainless spacer ring and into the blade when the motor stopped spinning the blade fused to the arbor. So I popped the blade off had to grind the blade a bit to get the spacer ring out of it.. and had to file the fused metal off of the arbor. the arbor hole in the center of the blade was egg shaped but all I had to do was put a new spacer ring in and it was good to go

Use CA glue to put the segments back, then walk away.
On Monday when your regular/competent sawyer starts it, show him that you are the bigger man by forgiving him & acting like you believe his "I didn't even do anything yet, it just disintegrated" story.
You will earn his undying devotion (which may be short lived when the segments start to fly).

No slab. It was a slab of Sucuri. The mishap occurred at the corner when the saw was traveling from the first cut to the second. It broke off a 10 x 10 corner. Never list any yield.

So, nothing really spectacular to see, other than a broken corner.

That's when you really have to commit to the bit.
But your right, I wouldn't want the guys that actually do the stuff that I get paid for to go down.
My guys are pretty much convinced I can't fabricate anyway. I have worked hard at convincing them of this (or have just been my self).

And Dan; I do hate the looks of pity I get when I mess things up, helping. I would rather they got mad but getting treated as a special needs boss gets old.

I'm still finding segments around the shop from a mishap over 3 years ago. Our hothead sawyer at the time wouldn't listen when told to set the blade travel height to clear EVERYTHING on the table. He hit the head of a bar clamp... Luckily nobody was hurt. I can say I now know what its like to be under fire from a machine gun. There were segments in every corner of the shop.

It was a brand-new blade too... Its now dated, signed and mounted to the wall as a reminder.
