I'm sure most of you have hear about the BLM and the cattle ranchers in Nevada. What are your thoughts on the matter..

There are also reports of a media black out on the events early on. I think that we have passed the point of the general public not finding out.

This in my opinion is one of the biggest events on American soil sense the civil rights movement.. may be I'm wrong

The guy just decided to stop paying the fees. That's great and all that he took a stand, but what about the other ranchers that are still paying? I'll just decide to stop paying my property taxes and water bill and see how that goes. Just because his ancestors used to graze on the land, it doesn't mean he owns it, which is what he was implying. His cattle are grazing in areas for free where other cattle are grazing for a fee. I don't know if I'd appreciate that if I was his neighbor.

The problem is the government won't allow themselves to look stupid for very long. I have a feeling that guy's life is about to get very difficult.

our beef prices just went up 50 % , and it was not because of this guys 500 head of cattle.
I've read many things about it, but cannot get a feel for the real story going on, its weird on all accounts.

Surely, there is far more to it than we will ever know. Sounds like anointed politicians using public assets for their own enrichment. Is this anything new? Pelosi built a mansion on the restricted area of the Pacific coast line. The list would be miles long.

I am for this rancher, based on what I know. If some greedy pol wants the land for personal profit, then why blame a tortoise? Oh yeah, politicians can't tell the truth.

I haven't researched this as much as I probably should. My understanding is that he has paid the fees he owed to the state of Nevada. His agreement with the state goes way back before the BLM was ever formed. The BLM imposed new fees that he was never made aware of, which is why he refused to pay. He did not feel it was right for the Fed's to come in and change the rules when he already had an agreement with the state. The BLM claimed protection for the desert tortoise. They have euthanized a lot of tortoises on that land because of over population.

The head of the BLM used to work for Harry Reid. Harry Reid's son is with the company that wants to put up solar panels and windmills on that land. Connect the dots and follow the money.

If any of my information is wrong, I would love to be corrected. But from what info I have, I support Mr. Bundy.

The tax thing is just the latest in a string of excuses.. It started with save the turtles and a notice to have all his cattle removed or impounded.. When that did not work out it went to. His cattle are a danger to the general public. That did not work ether so now at the ASS end of it some how it has now become a tax issue.. He is not the only one being told to get out I think in all 56 people and ranchers were evicted from this area (that number may not be accurate but its close). He is just the one who told them NO!! so I would think that may be a few had a tax issue but all of them no way. there is more to it. It is now becoming clear that there was a media black out for the first few days hoping it would be handled and brushed off as a small insignificant story. It has become un ignorable now and that's when TAXES are mentioned ???

I'm with dan there is way more to it than we know I believe the Harry Reed story. Fallow the money always fallow the money. This is not over and has the potential to become worse. I have been fallowing the FDA and there actions for quite some time now and there all out war on the livestock industry. I have no doubt that in some way they are involved in some way. I don't have the time to go into there war on FREE RANG cattle and livestock. Also there hand in GMO's I recent saw a chart that showed the increased usage of GMO's (genetically modified organisms) and Framed meats using steroids and antibiotics and the increase in Autism. The increase in Autism almost identically matched the increased usage of GMO's and non Free Range meat.. There is a lot more to this whole thing than we know and its not TAXES!!!
