No feedback needed.... just showing a few of the fellows who were interested that I haven't forgot them. New extension handles for sink cut out handling... New Granite style handles, Wide tires to prevent tipping and improve stability over flagstone sidewalks. NEW BIG O clamp.... its steel and allot stronger then my present clamp which can be seen lifting over 1200lbs in a demo on youtube. Yes you can tilt slab directly out of cart. Yes you can use Fulcrum attachment when going up stairs.... There are also steerable axles if you prefer those for turning...

That's the norm everyday. Although we would have probably put that on our bigger omni cart


I will say. I don't theonk those guys could have gotten the cutout any closer to their rod slot. Make it looked to be an 1/8 away.

(The following is my unasked for personal opinion, I am offering it with the intention of helping, not putting you or your product down in anyway)
I'm sorry, but I charge my customers a good amount of money based on the premise that we are a serious, professional, company. These carts and clamps look very amateur. I wouldn't feel comfortable showing up on a job site in their current condition. I'm not talking about the concept, but the execution. I would suggest that you should have someone with product design skills help you to make this look like an intentionally designed tool. Right now it is mixed and matched and somewhat anemic looking. I think if someone with that background could really make this go a lot farther.
Not everybody has product design skills, I don't, if I made something similar, I would need to get that kind of help.

Before their is any confusion, the products on the video are Omni Cubed carts. They make top quality products for our industry.

Using a cart that is steerable certainly would have saved allot of back strain as shown in video...

There are more efficient ways t use those dollies, than depicted in the video.

Steering would probably be a weak point in the design, due to weight and safety (balance) considerations.

Steerable low profile Dolly seems like a good idea

Hi John, welcome back.
Please don't take this as being rude. I said it before and I'll say it again...
The SFA forum should not be used as a continual product design review board for manufactures. The SFA furthers our industry by sharing knowledge and expertise with fellow members, and by exceeding standards in their own work… AND by occasionally helping manufactures come up with better tools, BUT, it is clearly an association of "Fabricators helping Fabricators". We as sponsoring manufacturers should be here to help them do that.

First I would say that's the dumbest way I have ever seen to get a island out of the shop. As a shop owner I would have been up set about that. I would have put it on a aframe and loaded it. Secondly two omnis are great for transitioning angles like ramps,but maneuvering is far easier with just one in the center of the island. We call it wheeling the top. It takes way less effort to "steer" the island this way. The only time we use two omnis is if we have to transport sink down. The lift Omni makes is cool over priced but cool. No offense Larry. But that island is no way near full slab and we would have installed it with three guys. Either just lean it against the cabinet and tilted it over/went on the end and pivoted it around or just picked it up and leaned it over. I way 150lbs and none of our guys are body builders. Its about working smart not hard.

Why does it have to have 36 levers and handles sticking out everywhere?

they are there for display.... the use of various handles etc with the same clamp is the idea and they work in rain, snow or whatever

as shown it makes odd size pieces more manageable

John, you are reinventing the wheel. Your's is not quite round yet.

Several flaws with that design. Since you are not a manufacturer, I assume that you are a product designer. What do you see wrong with this design? Just the three most obvious flaws please, as there are several.

was merely demonstrating the single pole handle as I was asked why were there so many levers etc..... those were prototypes and performed no problem... have seen many pictures of your trade carrying odd pieces when they could use this style handle instead and walk forward for example going up stairs.

The new BIG O clamp shown on top has plenty of clearance at 4.5 wide, 3 inches to bottom of clamp head
