Yeah, saw that as well. Imagine that, gov't bribes and corruptions during a rebuilding phase. Free Stone sounded good at the time, I bet.

Hurricane Katrina struck in 2005. I was at Stone Expo in Vegas in 2006 and saw Ray Nagin and his sons at the show several times. I knew right away what was getting ready to happen. It was so obvious. Stone Age basically was set up to launder money through kickbacks and bribes. I was shocked that the voters of New Orleans re elected him in May of 2006. So this all took place after that. He had four more years to do his dirty work. I'm glad the legal system has finally prosecuted. In my opinion though, his sons aren't as innocent as they claim. They spent a lot of money on brand new equipment and had no experience in the business at all. I feel there was never any intent for it to be a long term venture.

He's never been affiliated with them as far as I know.

You are correct Ken, you are terrible with names and faces!! Ray Nagin was never associated with the MIA in any official capacity.

Speaking of granite, a little of topic but anyone remember back in the day when Randall Cunningham was in the granite business in LV? If I remember right it was 96' when he retired and got in to the biz.

I remember very well. I believe it was in Vegas. He actually bought some machinery from us. My dad was always a big fan of Randall and even had a cardboard cutout of him in his Eagle den basement. When Randall called us for the first time I didn't believe it was him!
