There are a number of candidates I like. Rubio, Cruz, Fiorino, Carson are my top picks. Could do without Trump but he has challenged the political correct crowd and the left wing media which has helped the other candidates IMO.
So good to see the GOP establishment take a beating. It is time they move on.

Re: Your GOP Pick
I think Cruz will be the guy.
Trump reminds me of Reagan, the way he talks matter of factly. He would set a proper tone for America, IMO.
Carson is very good, but easy to derail by Dems.
Fiorina would be a far better first female president than Billary.
Rubio needs some more seasoning.

Trump, we need someone not owned by special interest groups. The man is funding his own campaign when was the last time that was done. And he doesn't care about the PC police speaks his mind

Re: Your GOP Pick
I like that about trump, but the guys is a lunatic. I'm a still waiting for him to say something intelligent as well. His foreign policy consists of "bombing the shit out of them". Not sure I'm comfortable with America being represented to the rest of the world like that.
At this point I'm a Carson fan. But there is still a lot of time to see what shakes out.

A customer asked me today how the granite in her kitchen was, I said: According to a possible future president of ours, Mr. Ben Carson, its only 6000 years old. When she cracked up laughing I said that's what the rest of the world will do if he become president.

Years ago, I visited the Creation Museum in Kentucky just over the Ohio line. They had a guest speaker/author in the bookstore and I asked him what the biggest problem young earth creationists faced with their theory. He was honest enough to reply "Starlight."Andy Ross wrote:There is waaayyyy to much evidence to support young earth formation. Thats all ill say about it.

Re: Your GOP Pick
That is because they are looking at it with human reasoning. If there is light it must come from something, right? Starlight from a galaxy far far away (to coin a popular movie) couldn't reach us by now if the universe is young. But, if God created light on the first day of creation, and then after that, our sun and other stars on the fourth day, then we can understand that there is no inconsistency there. The light beams were already in place. It may seem impossible to many, but that is what makes life interesting (we can have different opinions and discuss them).Kowboy wrote:Years ago, I visited the Creation Museum in Kentucky just over the Ohio line. As for the original topic, I have watched the debates and I think many of the candidates would serve the country well. I do have a major concern about power people in Washington and the centralization of power; therefore, I don't want to have another Bush or Clinton, or anyone in their tight community of power players. I don't want to see Chelsea Clinton in the future, or any Obama's in the future, etc. This is getting ridiculous how just a few families or friends for a number of generations have so much power. In that regard, I believe Trump could abuse that power. His personality and demeanor "worked for him" in business, but could be damaging to the office of presidency. Obama damaged the office enough. We need someone who will show respect to the office and our great country and its citizens AND its future generations.

Not to get Theological, but the creation of the earth and when the the 6 days of creation are not in order. Study Dake's dateless past. No question the earth is millions of years old. In fact the scripture says Lucifer ruled the earth with beast. The Gap theory and science are in lineAndy Ross wrote:There is waaayyyy to much evidence to support young earth formation. Ezekiel 28:11-17 pictures Lucifer before he fell, as the anointed cherub or protector of the earth, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty, ruling in a garden of Eden (before Adam), created by God and perfect in his ways up to the time of his fall. The passage gives both the reason for his fall and the results. The only time this could have been true of Satan was before the days of Adam,

Re: Your GOP Pick
The Trump copter landed 15 minutes from my house this afternoon. I took that as a sign that I should attend the rally, even though it meant delaying some tile work for my hot new neighbor lady.
With patriotic music blaring, Trump was introduced as "The next president of the United States..."
Trump took the outdoor stage and before beginning his attacks on Obama and the status quo, he solicited audience children for Trump copter rides. He filled it up and it took off, circling the rally. He told us that "This is a movement." and "We're tired of stupidity." much to the delight of the crowd.
After shaming the other candidates for their use of Super Pacs, Trump said he was self-financing, but that he wouldn't return any donations. "That would be rude" he said.
I met Kevin, 20, who described himself as a conservative who said he's "tired" and likes helicopters. His friend Josh, 18, described the rally as "...more like a WWE event..." On the way out, I met a more mature John, who was carrying a Trump sign. He said "Either way, win or lose, he's making history." Kinda hard to argue with that.
If you go to a Trump rally expecting to seek kooks, dingbats, and weirdos, you're going to be disappointed. I'm sure he's got a few, but the crowd was amazingly normal. They seemed inspired and fed up simultaneously, which is a dangerous combination, especially if you're the head of the Republican National Committee or Hillary Clinton.

There's plenty of evidence to support Bigfoot, Area 51, and the 9/11 conspiracy. IMO much more so than anything pertaining to "6000yo Earth".
As far as GOP contenders, I hope Trump gets them all in the chopper and it lands gold plated nose first into one of his garrish buildings.
