I would say go Colts, but with Manning now out of the game until mid december, i have no hopes of them making the playoffs. Reminds me of the years i was a Reds fan and Griffey kept hitting the DL.

I'm pretty sure if you check the Chinese calendar it is the year of the Lion. If not this year, next year...or the one after that....

My Lions are coming back with a vengeance! This will be the year Matthew Stafford stays healthy...I hope.

The lions do look good. But again pre season means nothing. All these years of hating the colts, I feel realy bad for Maning. We have a new team to hate. F--- the jets!!!!

I'm a Vikings fan and if we can just get a law passed that football should only be played with the first half we'd look pretty good right now.

Lions are on the rise, I can see them going deep in the playoffs both this year and next if they can stay healthy.

Green Bay is looking good too.

Try being from Detroit and the laughing stock of the whole NFL country...

I can't believe we are undefeated. I was just hoping for a 7-9 or 8-8 season (1 or 2 game improvement on last year). Counting the preseason, we are on a 11 game winning streak! This team is learning how to win and they like it. The best part is that they are young.

As long as Stafford stays healthy they could be great for years to come.

i'm trying to get over the loss against buffalo. man that sucked. detroit does look good. its amazing what a difference a good GM can do for a team. i also think having the bast defensive player in the league helps.

I never understood ' being a fan ' of a team or person. Is it the same as admire or look up to or is it just to belong somewhere?
When I watch a match I tend to go with the underdog just for the hell of it.

Nick there is a good possibility that he might. the pats defense is really struggling this year, again. But they have a pretty good record coming off a loss. it will be good to see Seymore go up against his old mates.
Ken...its not that i look up tp them, its that at the end off a long week of work, its good to just sit back with a beer and watch a sport i love. i'm with you, i love the underdog, as long as its not playing my team. i can sit and watch two other teams go at it and cheer for the underdog.

Ken, pledging allegiance to a sports team is one of the most American things you can do. NFL football sundays are my favorite days of the year. And no better time to be a football fan, grossly large flatscreen HD tv's for cheap, and sunday ticket. Combine with BBQ and beverages of choice and there is no better way to do Sunday IMO. Plus if you gamble and play fantasy football, it is just aawesomeness overload

Got it. I like the hole party thing and smack talk but the pledging is probably something that may come down the road, or not.

The Lions defense is dangerous. I was watching the little play by play on NFL.com. I couldnt believe they blew the game with those penalties. Then they picked of Blomo again and ended up winning. awesome!
