Thank You

I've never been great with words, or at being able to tell people how I feel, so I am having trouble now expressing how I felt a little earlier today when I received a package from Christina Briggs.

Inside was a flash drive with some pictures from the last workshop...some video of guys who OBVIOUSLY don't know how to forklift joust.. and video of your toast...I can count on both hands the number of times I have been brought to tears in my life, after today I will have to start using my toes.

Thank you does not come close to expressing how I feel, but they are the only words I know, so Thank You, for allowing me to do something I love for a living, for giving me the opportunity to be part of something so special, for your thoughts and prayers, phone calls, emails and texts...for buying so much of the stuff I have posted for sale (even though I suspect most of you don't really need them) but mostly for making me feel like I belong.

I do not know what tomorrow or the next day will bring, but I am no longer afraid of it, it will be whatever God intends for it to be, I will take each day as it comes and try to make the very most out of whatever time I have.

Thank you all for your support, it means more to me than you will ever know.

Tynan,

I wish that I could just give you a big hug right now.

As I said in my pm to you I have a very hard time getting my words out. I have read your thread a lot of time and you have inspired me beyond words. What we experienced with Antonio's Dad (Lolo) and his passing has certainly made me stop and appreciate family and friends to the fullest. Live today like there is no tomorrow. Kiss my girls goodbye in the morning and tell them that I love them before I leave for work. Kiss them again at school when I pick them up and ask them what was their favourite part of their day. Hold their hands while we walk. They understand what had happened and often talk about the fun things they did with Antonio's Dad. (Lolo) It makes me smile but also brings tears to my eyes.

I have never met you and never talked to you on the phone. But to me you are a great man that I wish I could have known better and I wish I could have met you.

I love your perspective on life and more of us need to live that way.

Thank you for all you have done and being part of this organization. You will always be in my thoughts.

I also want to say thank you to Brian and Christina for sending you the memories.

Hi guys, my name is Brian, I'm Tynan's little brother. He's not doing very good, the hospice worker is telling us a few more days, maybe, but most likely Friday or Saturday.

I cannot thank you all enough for what you have done for him, I think we've all had more time with him because of all of you, he had something to take care of, business to tend to and he didn't want to let you all down so he couldn't go, he's always been like that, he hates leaving things unfinished.

This was his dream, selling tools, but it was for a bigger reason than to just make money - I don't know if you know it or not, but up until he got sick, he was working every side job he could get his hands on, you see, we grew up dirt poor, there were 6 of us and though mom worked 2 sometimes 3 jobs, there was never enough money and she was gone most of the time, so he changed our diapers, fed us, made sure that chores and homework got done, for all intents and purposes, he raised us, to be strong, independent, self-sufficient people and he's really the only father figure I've ever had.

His got his first job when he was 12, cleaning chicken coops for .50 an hour and he's been working ever since, but it wasn't for the money, it was for what the money could allow him to do, which was help people.

In his community there are quite a few people who have fuel oil in their tanks for the winter, or who have had their electric bill paid or have decent snow tires on their cars so they can get back an forth to work because of not only Ty, but because of all of you, and when more was needed, he found more work to do, but you, all of you who bought stuff from him, helped him to make a difference in other people's lives, it gave him a purpose and for that, I will forever be in your debt.

I'm sorry for rambling but my heart hurts, he's done so much for so many people and never asked them for anything in return except to help someone else if they could and now that he needs help, there's nothing I can do to save him, but I wanted you all to know that you've made a difference in his life and the lives of a lot of people you'll never even know.

Ty has asked me to run things for him, to continue what he has started, I will do my very best, but I fear his shoes will be too big for me to fill, and I will need your help.

The phone number and the email address will remain the same, we figured that would make it easier for you guys, but there is a new screen name on here for you to get a hold of me at if you need too, it's Tank, that's what Ty always called me because he said I was built like one.

I have tried to respond to all the emails and texts he has gotten in the last week or so, but if I haven't gotten back to everyone, please email or text me again and I will do my very best to get back to you as quickly as possible.

He has something he wants me to post when he's gone, but that will be the last thing posted under his screen name.

Thank You All & God Bless.
Brian

Brian, there is nothing that you can do, but make him comfortable. Tynan will live on in the spirit of those he impacted, many here, for sure.

Peace to Tynan and the whole family.

I talked to him several times but never actually got to meat him in person or shake his hand. I am sure that is my loss. I wish nothing but the best for your family

I wanted to let you all know that Ty is gone, he passed away in his sleep early this morning, he was surrounded by his family and for the first time in months, I don’t think he was in any pain.

Ty was one of the most self-less people I have ever known, he was a great brother and role model, but more than that, he was my best friend – the world was a better place with him in it and I will miss him.

He wrote this note a few days before Christmas and asked me to make sure to post it as soon as I could after he passed.

I have always believed that life was a journey, not a destination, if you're reading this it means my journey has gone as far as it can go here and has taken a new direction, so our paths must separate for a while, but I believe we will meet again in a much better place someday...though I hope that will be a long way off for all of you and that you all live long and happy lives.

I have always believed that our highest calling is to serve others and to try and leave the world better than we found it and I have tried to live my life that way, only you and the people who know me can judge whether I was successful in my attempt or not…I hope I was.

I have always been a big fan of Roman and Greek Philosophy, but Marcus Aurelius has always been a favorite, if you want to read something that will blow your mind read his work called Meditations. These are some of my favorite quotes, you’ll have to figure out for yourselves if they have any meaning for you.

"Execute every act of thy life as though it were thy last."

"It is not death that a man should fear, he should fear never beginning to live."

"Everything that happens happens as it should, and if you observe carefully, you will find this to be so."

"Never let the future disturb you. You will meet it, if you have to, with the same weapons of reason which today arm you against the present."

"Nothing happens to any man that he is not formed by nature to bear."

I do not believe in saying "good-bye", to me good-bye means the end of something, this is not the end for me, more like turning a page in a book that never ends, I do not believe anyone is ever really gone as long as they are remembered, so I will say safe journey until we meet again my friends, take care of yourselves and each other, I love you all…even Kowboy (sorry big fella, had to get the last word at least once !!)

I wish you all the very best,

Tynan
