LT55 Software questions?

I was briefly shown another shops work flow just using the LT55 software and the time savings they achieved. But, since getting back and having a play I'm a bit stumped.

Where do I find the code for the second seat disc? as mines not in the manual.

How do I take the final templated drawing and split up the pieces to send to the saw/cnc.

Is there any other programs other than Job Tracker that works with the LT55 software?

Oh, and how do I connect the tablet to my computer

I will be calling the guy who showed me at some point, but as he's crazy busy I don't want to hold him up and I'll be doing this in my spare time, so he won't be available to answer questions alot of the time.

The software can be downloaded from our website. You will need to speak with our support team to obtain a license key for it. The easiest way is to give them a call (630-679-1300, ask for John or Jared) and they can remotely set everything up for you in about two minutes.

The tablet is never connected to the computer directly as Microsoft doesn't provide an option to do that "easily." Most companies will use a USB flash drive to move files, email them from the tablet, or upload them to Google Drive, DropBox, One Drive, etc.

Give our guys a call and they can get you up and running in no time.

I have recently found my home at a Granite and Marble company after spending 20 years in the glass business.
I'm finding that a lot is comparable, but a lot isn't . The company has purchased the lt2d3d laser templator, but are still making corplast templates. So, I inquired as to why they don't use it when I found out they had spent the $ 15k and its sitting gathering dust?
They said " we used it a few times and the jobs were cut so bad,and nothing fit". I found this hard to believe. Then they said that " you have to transfer your files to Auto Cad or Auto desk to convert the files so the CNC can cut it.
I found that Hard to Believe as well. Surely there's another easier way ,and they have not been asking the right questions. They have a digital CNC cutter and it's a windows based system platform. So,........what gives? I would like to be the one to solve their problem for them and be the one to " save the day". Please help. Let me know what is going on and how I can explain,or learn to use the system and improve our output.

My guess would be either moving the laser too soon or the surface being shot is too glossy. Both things our new guy was doing.

Hey Brian, thanks to Jared for helping with my ineptitude.

Its just unfortunate that the time difference between the US and NZ slows things down.

One thing I haven't quite worked out yet is how to permanently change the colour names. And save the same settings between the tablet and PC.

It seems everytime I start a new job the colour names revert back to the standard names.

You have to change them in a blank file and then start a new file. If you change the colors and then save the file, it assumes the changes are only for that file.

Like Andy said...
1. Open the LT software
2. Change the colors to what you want
3. Exit the LT software
4. Reopen the LT Software and start your job

The color profile is carried with the .l55 file so that if you were to have different settings between the tablet and an office computer, there is no confusion as to what color/edge type the templator intended and the fabricator cuts. This also helps in the instance where work is subbed out. A second company will almost certainly not have the same settings as you. We want to make sure there are no mis-cuts. Also, because of this, when opening past jobs, they will still have the old color profile on them as this is the intended result.
