Hi Guys ,
I’m looking to get away from white boards for scheduling and note pads for quotations. (We do use quick books for formal estimates) We have gone completely digital in regards to fabrication. Doing so jobs are traveling way to quickly through production and small little things are getting missed .
Wondering what other shops are using to keep track of scheduling , paperwork , contracts etc ??? Does anyone have a system / program or even process they swear by ?
Thanks in advance

We've been using StoneApp by stone grid. I believe they are planning on a public debut at Stone Expo next month in Vegas. It's been a WIP for a while, but now really functions great, without any bugs. We've been very happy with the program, and we will vouch for it's performance.

I had an inventory system custom built last year and am having a complete production control system built now. It is all web based. The inventory portion paid for it self in a month. I started a software company so I had ownership of the code and can sell you a license for it or the end product if want to wait.

We had same problem. We found a website for project management that uses a white board like system but with more detail.
www.monday.com (used to be called dapulse)
I believe it was designed for larger corporations for collaboration purposes but works extremely well for staying on top of your projects. You can also link it to your google calendar for automating scheduled delivery's, templates and installs. We use quickbooks for inventory and billing and this for project management.
It's worth a look.

Before it's official lunch, Stone Grid (which includes quoting, project management, scheduling, template app, install app, time clock, inventory) is $300 for 4 users
You can read about it here viewtopic.php?f=140&t=24255
You can also check it out at Stone Expo next month!

I was checking out the Stone Grid Software... Looks pretty good... What about the estimating portion, how has that been working out?

We have been using the estimate side of Stone App for over a year now. It has been working out very well for us.
