Hi Has anyone used the estimating software for our industry called Quick Quote? And if so would you have any feedback in regards to using Quick Quote?. I currently use CounterGo by Moraware for 90% of my estimating, And it has some great features, along with doing a slab lay out within the system itself. It’s essentially cost-effective at $50.00 per month, however they have raised or are raising their prices to $100.00 per month. This for one reason is why I am not a fan of paying recurring monthly fees for software that doesn’t necessarily improve dramatically month-to-month or even year-over-year. And addition to it’s a web based system you never technically own the software system. It’s theirs on their server, are you on is the data that you put into it. I would prefer solution where you can actually download the software and install it on your local computer because technically you on the licensing for that installation indefinitely. And if the system works without any technical difficulties essentially there’s no necessity to continually pay for maintenance or upgrades unless they’re substantially different. And improved.
I’m looking for a more cost-effective solution whereas there are no monthly service charges. My other gripe is that it’s web-based, meaning you always have to be connected online to use the CounterGo system.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!

Re: Quick Quote software
That is why we went with Quick Quote as we want to own our software. I cannot compare it to Countergo as I did not use it for that reason. I am growing to like it but am still working things out. I have had a few issues with the software and have had to make a phone call. They have been very helpful in working out the issues that I have encountered.
It does have a slab layout but I have ignored it because We have slabsmith and just wanted something for quotes. Hope that helps.

The issues that we dealt with is how we set up the way we do our bids. Just a new program and learning a different way of doing that. There are a few items that I would like different but I can adjust to them. You can PM me if that would help.
