Update... very impressed with the life of these so far!
I have been looking for a down side but so far have no complaints. They work well on dark and light colors.

My guys liked them also. They thought they performed a bit better then most of the others that we have tried.

Justin,
We are just waiting for a few more people to give us feedback, hopefully by the end of this week, then we will be able to go into full production. You can expect to have them available in roughly two weeks.

Re: 3 Step Polishing System-Feedback Needed
These were the best 3 step pads we have used to so far. They lasted longer than the rest. We got an excellent polish on light stone, ok on dark. I would probably order a few sets to keep in the shop.

I did another 40 linear feet today and must say they did a great job and are wearing well!
Thanks for turning us on to them... based on price I will probably be a new customer.

We are booking into May right now and I may just have to keep the nose to the grind stone!
I am sick to death of working on Sundays! It's not my fault my builders are not keeping THEIR schedules and then 3-4 of them want it in the same week. We are too small to have a blip in the schedule!
This has been going on since early October and we are getting tired...

Kevin, if you have that much work and it is consistant then you need to automate and get a cnc.

My problem is the uncertainty of the market these days.
The banks are not to friendly right now with anything associated with the building industry.
I own the building I am in and it is a pretty big debt. The building is really the only thing i have to show for my labors so far.
I finally have my loans all paid off except the building.
I don't really care for the lease options on a cnc - I would rather buy one bank financed. Maybe I need to re-think my game plan.
Thanks for your input!
Sorry to go off topic...
Re: 3 Step Polishing System-Feedback Needed
On behalf of Terminator I’d like to sincerely thank all the SFA members who volunteered to help with the testing of our 3 Step Polishing System. As a direct result of your feedback, the Terminator Elite 3-Step Polishing System was improved upon 3 times, specifically in the areas of shine and life. These pads work well on both granite and engineered stone.
Our 3-Step Polishing System is now available for sale. Price for these pads are $24/each. Purchasing 10 sets or more, the cost is $22/each.
Again we’d like to thank the SFA members for their assistance, without you guys we would not have been able to come out with such an awesome product.

Re: 3 Step Polishing System-Feedback Needed
Back to the topic of testing...
I found that the three step pads have met there match with Sapphire Brown Blue... I had to give up on the 3 step and go back to my normal system. I could not get this stone to polish with them.
Another observation... they do not wear very fast but the quality of polish does diminish before the pad wears very much. Could the resin matrix be to dense? They do not seem to be glazed and don't "open" back up with a quick spin on concrete.
Anybody else see this happening?

Re: 3 Step Polishing System-Feedback Needed
My guys are thoroughly satisfied with them. We used them on several kitchens touching up, but wanted to try black and more es. We just ran 70lf of abs black and 7 slabs of Grey Expo that were straight polish, then finished them off pos 1 honing the face of 200 sf of pak green onyx. Awesome results, and sounds like good pricing.
The guys were wanting a more aggressive pos 1 for honing tho if you got any left from testing, let me know.

Have not tried them on es yet.
So they work well for es?

Re: 3 Step Polishing System-Feedback Needed
Kevin, yes they do work well on ES too. You can start directly with the #1 (no 50 or 100 grit pad needed beforehand), apply minimal pressure, and use plenty of water to avoid burning.

Re: 3 Step Polishing System-Feedback Needed
The 3 step dry, is a new product that we have coming in about 30 days. What was at Dustin's workshop was the first iteration and were an R&D set. They are still tweaking this formula to make them even better and we will once again be asking for anyone who wants to, on the SFA, to submit a request to Micahael to test them and post their feedback.

Any ideas why I had so much trouble polishing Sapphire Brown Blue? Could not get that stone to "pop" with them.

Re: 3 Step Polishing System-Feedback Needed
My guys were pretty happy with the 3 steps. GOod life good shine, had a couple of segments that popped off the pos1. Talked to Eric about it and found out about hte multiple version produced. Was very pleased to see that they had already reaceted to that issue. Plan to purchase some when we run out of our older pads. Nice work guys.

Re: 3 Step Polishing System-Feedback Needed
We tried the 3 step and we found that it was great on a flat edge but when we tried a corner or bullnose, we got a lot of heat and it wanted to burn the stone. Has anyone had to change the way the polish ,like positioning the polisher, to get these to work or is it just me?
Looking back, fifty years from now, don't you want to say you had the guts to get in the car!!

Re: 3 Step Polishing System-Feedback Needed
Hey chad the problem is the 3 steps (all 3 steps) are really hot pads you can run wide open on the flats but when you get to a outside corner slow the rpms and turn up the water a little. It makes a big difference. You basically have to treat stone as es to achieve the desired results with any 3 step
As for my review the pads are great with the exception of the 1 pad long life but no aggression we have found the best results by using a 50 pad to start with which makes it a four step system but the shine is un beatable this way. We even tried using a 1 pad from another set but it didnt not work the way we thought it would.
All in all a great product with room for improvement.

Re: 3 Step Polishing System (WET) -Feedback Needed
So far I am very impressed.
I think Chris is right about the 1 pad, but when considering the life of these as compared to the Euroasian ones and the way these polish more(not all) types of stones, they are awesome.
I also think that every shop needs a 3 step and regular pad system, and you will just know when you can fly through a 3 step and when you have to use a traditional system. This set is just a must have for shops now though, and since we generally stone to 120 before diamond polishing, the #1 pad is a non issue and we can fly through it and probably start on #2. We just did a large honed edge, and I figured the #2 pad would be a perfect finish(like a 500g or so)......It was way to shiney
, so you really get some pop even after the #2 and overall these pads are quite impressive if you start from something(diamond or stone) around 100g. Realistically something like this will never be an all situation workhorse, but if you can use them most of the time, you are winning.
